This is the horrid columbia based restuarant I named my first EQ character after. Its a locally owned chain.

Of course I misspelled it as "sid" instead of "cid"

They were in quite a bit of trouble over this...national news and what not.

They make quite a statement on their homepage.

As income tax paying Americans, we believe ILLEGAL immigrants are burdening the system we support and live under. This cause us, and all citizens and legal immigrants, to work harder and pay higher taxes to support the illegal activities which our government has turned a blind eye towards. South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, is heading up immigration reform. The driving force behind reform is the estimated trillions in revenue to be collected from the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. At the same time, we support the immigration reform so that everyone will pay their fair share in taxes and be protected equally by the U.S. Constitution and state laws.

If you agree with our view on American Equality in citizenship, legalization and tax fairness, then show your support and come join us for lunch or dinner. If you do not agree, we understand.

Doesn't seem like a very good business plan.

11 million people making sub-minimum wage are going to generate a trillion dollars in tax revenue? Smiley: dubious

I won't defend the "trillion dollars" number but there's a whole lot of illegal immigrants making more than "sub-minimum" wage. And, for those who are, not having documentation becomes a bit of a barrier for advanced employment. Maybe you get away with operating the McDonald's cash register for minimum wage but becoming a district manager is a little tougher.

I remember reading that they used to have four stores, and are now down to one. Obviously due to illegal immigrants and not their business practices.

Not wanting to be a racist apologist here, but looking at the "Hollister Models" story, I can't help but wonder if dude was just making a stupid face, not necessarily being racist... am I off base? Like maybe they were just taking silly pictures and stuff? I think more context is needed to assert that he was intentionally trying to be "squinty eyed" or something.

Peace signs are a fairly common pose for Koreans in photographs. The circumstantial evidence is pretty strongly against him.

On one had, those dudes are totally racist.

On the other hand, free regular iced tea with the purchase of a super supreme burrito.

So, I dunno...

Their food was repugnant. That is the reason their business model is failing. Their cuisine gave me the runs.

There is the runs, and then there is this stuff. It was like purchasing an enema in a burrito.
