The president specified three pillars of immigration reform: better enforcement of immigration laws, providing a path to citizenship for the more than 11 million undocumented immigrants already in the country, and reforming the legal immigration system.

I'm all for getting more tax-paying peeps legally into the country - base broadening and all that. The concern of some is that this so-called amnesty may draw in more additional illegal immigrants (presumably there was in increase in illegal immigrants after 1986 amnesty deal).
Is this proposal passable, doable, and will it make for a better immigration system?
