I've resolved to quit smoking (for the 4th or 5th year in a row; obviously it hasn't stuck so far).

You?

Ugh, ditto. Well, this will be the second year. I spent most of this past year not smoking, but when I got fired and started a new job where there were 20 minute smoke breaks every hour I got sucked back in. I've been going on and off for a couple months now, maybe a pack a week, but I think I have my last pack. I bought some gum today and that usually does me well.

I spent most of 2012 chasing dreams and investing emotionally where it wasn't warranted. This year, I plan to remove those elements from my life and get back to basics, sort of.. rebuild the foundation, so to speak.

I made a new year resolution years ago not to make any resolutions. It's the only one I've been able to stick with

Stoke my ambition. I've fallen into that slump of repetitive comfort most people get into, which means I'm wasting my life away. Need to start thinking again instead of following the well beaten path. That and baby time any day now so now's as good a time as any to get off my *** and stop coasting.

I started playing squash again this fall, so I guess continue to do that? I've had a few shifts in schedule that should allow me to work out with a couple friends in the mornings, so that's something that will start up this new years.

I've resolved to pick up some more social and interesting hobbies. But I haven't figured out yet what it should be.

I thought about being a Mime, but not sure that fits the bill.

Work on becoming a masseur. Every time I give a friends a back rub they are amazed at how good I am. Figured that I might as well look into it, worse case scenario I get better at giving my friends massages for free and out the cost to get the education.

I plan on being fiscally irresponsible. I also plan to take up smoking, and to drink more.

I don't have any resolutions per se, but I do have a couple of goals. First goal is to move back to Eugene to be with my man again. I'm hoping to do that by mid March. As of right now, we've been apart for a year and 20 days. Far too long, especially since we've only been able to visit each other twice. I am committed to doing my best to never take him for granted again.

Second goal is to finish my damn bachelor's degree already. Just four classes left.

Don't forget to be more promiscuous. I mean if you're going to do it, do it right.

Honestly, for the last decade I've been trying to come up with one resolution that I can achieve. The best I've done so far is say "I'll make it to next year..."

Mine is simply to better myself in whatever ways I see fit over the year. Why be specific? Its just setting one's self up for failure.

Start getting freelance video game articles published regularly. And generally speaking, improve my quality and quantity of writing submissions.

Start the process for my architectural licensure exams (7 tests....yikes).

Find a charity that I'm interested in to volunteer for.

Get back in shape (shouldn't take long - just gotta work off the wedding/holiday pounds again), and get myself out to a few grappling competitions (just one or two).

Refill the coffers after our big expenditures for the wedding and holidays (got a few long term goals in mind, too).
