Chances are you will make it into the Traditional prediction thread. If you don't post in the thread, you may make it in anyways. If you only kind of half post, but not actually post, and then go nuke it later, you'll be one of the "and everyone else was ..." generic catch all people. So yeah. That.

Topic of the remainder of the thread aside from that: "Cows, natures most perfect terrorists, or the reincarnation of Stalin? You decide!"

That is THE SNAIL!™ Official ghost mascot of the Allakhazam forums. Specidically, said snail saying "happy new year" whilst wearing a party hat and blowing a party horn. Avatar sizes used to be alot smaller when that was made back in the day.

When I was down in Houston, starting in my Pre-admin days, I had a little 20 gallon aquarium that was apperently placed over a chunk of uranium, because it grew enourmous fish and critters (5 inch long guppy anyone?) including one truely huge yellow apple snail. The thing started out as a baby snail and ended up about the size of a softball. The running joke being that the snail was getting so big that France was going to be destroyed in 150 years once the snail actually got there. That was all mostly on the old UBB forum before this one and is since lost to the ether. The snail was the first non-human to be granted official Asylum membership, and numerous somewhat hilarious tales of his snaily hijinx were recorded throughout his history. Now, tradition is I bring out that avatar picture around new years.

/mourn snail

If Kevin Costner's "Dances with Bovines" is any indication, I would go with terrorists.

On a hooved note, we have a trailered water tank (500gal) with a pressure washer on the flightline to spot wash the aircraft. As far as I can recall, it's always been called the water buffalo. However, it's name got changed when we deployed for the first time to Saudi back around '96. The squadron I with at the time was called "The Fighting **** The nickname was granted back during the beginning of WWII. The mascot was designed by Walt Disney Studios, one they still use today.

Normally at home station, the various radio callsigns begin with the squadron color (ours is red) to keep confusion down since numerous units use the same net. So Produciton Super would be Red 1, Crew Chiefs Red 2, etc. However when deployed, units would use their mascots as part of their radio signs (you may arrive at a location with other units that could be the same color as yours). Listening to radio chatter you'd hear things like "Eagle 1 Bat 2" "Go ahead Bat 2", etc. Ours of course changed to ****

And so, the water buffalo became.... yeah, I'll leave that one there for you to figure out.

Oh if your curious, This was the unit.

Nature's terrorists. I don't think a reincarnation can split amongst an entire species, especially one that has existed in current domesticated form for 5-6 thousand years before the original soul was born. That is, unless you don't believe in standard tachi-linear reincarnation and go for something timey-wimey instead.

Over the holidays the family was looking for a holiday-themed drink, so I threw together a White Russian with peppermint schnapps instead of vodka. A Peppermint Russian, or Prussian, if you will.

There has to be a better name for that drink.

No, that's the correct name. You took out the Russian (Vodka) beverage, and added the Prussian (Schnapps) beverage. It's cleverer than you intended.
