After unearthing the lost Druidic Sasquatch Code of of the Aztec Illuminati Fifth Rosicrucian Reich, you have proof that the world will end in 36 hours. It won't be anything dramatic and shouldn't cause any physical pain and suffering, just a few moments realization of "So, this is it" and then done, with nothing left but to find out whose religion was correct regarding the afterlife. Everyone will be aware at the end that it is The End.

But they won't be aware until the final moments unless you tell them. I can provide with two things:
(A) The means to let everyone know they have 36 hours left. You can only tell everyone; no selectively picking who to inform
(B) Legitimacy so that no one dismisses your words as a hoax, insanity, etc. If you tell them, they will react with the full knowledge that the world is ending.

I have other stuff to do with my last hours so you have to decide now.

Shall you tell them?
Yes:15 (37.5%)
No:25 (62.5%)
Total:40

Don't tell anyone.

Otherwise there will be mass chaos and panic and no one will get to enjoy these last 36 hours. As it is, a lot of people are planning to be happily drunk tomorrow night, and I see no reason to change that.

I'd tell them. I don't think people would panic so much if they knew as well as I did that it was inevitable, but for certain people it might be their only opportunity to try to make peace for a few last precious moments. I don't think too many people will be in serious shock, just considering the coincidental date. Smiley: um

I'll tell them. Because I figure the best, final thing to see in the world is an amazing sociological experiment about what happens to society when faced with impending doom.

Man, I'm morbid. Happy holidays! Smiley: grin

I'm gonna stick to my original answer, but if we're allowed an alternative I would just stay silent and wear this for the remaining time.

Hopefully someone will figure it out before the end.

Maybe knowing is half the battle. The way to beat this thing is to face it and name it and deny it. In that case I'd tell everyone except Jophiel (if he knew he could edit his op to add a denial clause)

I'd tell them. Then I'd promptly tell my boss what I think of her "management skills," load my husband up on a private jet and to be with my family for the last few hours.

I suppose his family can come hang it with us, too, though I know his mom will spend the whole time trying to get us to accept Jesus into our hearts.

There'd be nobody to fly it even assuming you made it through the riots to the airport.

I wouldn't tell them. How am I supposed to party the last 36 hours away if the liquor store is closed due to lack of workers? That would be the best 36 hours of my life, the things I would do...

There was talk that the local Athens college radio station was going to play that on a 24 hour loop today. Not sure they actually went through with it.

We are going to be downtown tonight, hoping for a Michael Stipe spotting.
