Any of you lot played any EQ on Al'Kabor, the EQ Mac server? Grinded through 37 levels of a new baby Necro. As you probably know, the server is stuck in time during the PoP era, which is when I stopped playing. Brought back loads of memories, not least how freaking hard that game was/is. The punishment from death, and the fear of losing a corpse...nothing in any other game gets the adrenaline going more. WoW is for pussies in comparison. I played a couple of WoW characters to max level, and it never connected in the same way.

Also don't do a whole lot of MMORPGs anymore. What's scary though is that PoP was a huge step forward in terms of ease of play for EQ. They hadn't yet implemented the whole "summon your corpse for a few plat" bit (I think that came with the guild hall?), but the portals to/from the plane of knowledge made travel trivially easy. There's just nothing quite like the old corpse runs of the early days of EQ!

Played WoW, LotRO, and Rift, but couldn't stay interested in any of them. Might give the Elder Scrolls MMO a shot when it comes out.
