Contrast that with, oh, any "poor" and unemployed person in the US today and what do you see? A 1930's skinny person having trouble getting enough money to eat vs an morbidly obese slob who can't bother to get up to find work. Face it. There is no hunger in the United States unless you are just too lazy to accept that food stamps won't be delivered to your door and you need to go stand in line for some.
