I guess it's too late to have him debate with an empty chair on TV.

So will there be a "debate" thread or will it be rolled into this one?

I'll start a thread and live blog the debate until Eske cries.

Haha, that reminds me of Gbaji getting all flustered and worked up because Smash, Nexa and I were bantering about the 2008 Democratic primaries. He also rather famously informs us that there's no question of Clinton's nomination victory Smiley: laugh

So now the question is: Do I watch it on the TV and post from my tablet or watch it on my tablet and post from the computer....? OMG the options!

To be fair, I think everyone thought Clinton was going to take it. If I'm not mistaken, she won the popular vote. It was the change in electoral votes that had Obama to win.

Obama ran the table with a much better delegate game: running her close to a draw in the high population states primary states and blowing her out in the low population caucus states. She won more general population, he won more states and more delegates. also, part of her delegate/population draw came from Michigan and Florida which were ineligible due to breaking the primary rules (I think FL was 50% ineligible... whatever)

But I had it for Obama from early on so nyeah Smiley: tongue

Just start banning people until someone makes a new thread. Usually works.

I'll toss out this prediction right now. No matter what happens in the debate itself, the media will describe Obama positively and Romney negatively. Yeah, I'm going for the low hanging fruit on this one, I know.

I'll toss out this prediction right now. Even if Romney comes out drunk on cough syrup, vomits all over himself and takes off his pants while singing the Russian national anthem, Gbaji will say that it was exactly what Romney needed to do and he crushed Obama during the debate.

I, also, am going for the low hanging fruit.

I would take that bet. Everyone expects it to be a blowout. All Romney has to do is keep his foot out of his mouth and he'll come off looking pretty good.

Honestly I don't think the debates matter at all. I mean look back at 2004 when Bush had the "dear in the head lights" look and he still won. People on both sides are so biased that it doesn't matter how dumb their party's candidate is, they will support him or her enough to win.

If Fox news describes Romney negatively or Obama positively you get 50 rateups.

Fox News isn't "The Media"...

"The Media" is just anything that they don't agree with.
