Sure. But here in crazyyland (aka: California), we added a substance designed to reduce emissions (cause those are BAD!), which apparently has some amazingly bad effects if it ever gets into the groundwater. Yay us!

That was MTBE, it's far less toxic than benzene but yes a water soluble, so spread through groundwater more readily. Still, if the gas stations didn't leak their gas into the ground - it wouldn't have been much of a problem. At any rate MTBE has been phased out (like 15 years ago).

Yes, you're getting it though - emissions are bad. Keep up the good work and some day you can be a Tree-hugger.
