Tonight we're taking my son and gf out to dinner to celebrate his birthday. I got him a Nook Tablet. I'm kind of excited to give it to him. He's coveted my Nook ever since I got it.

Agh then I'm busy - laundry, packing, making some food to take on road trip and some food to leave behind for my boys.

Sunday morning I head to Syracuse to my daughters. We'll hang there until Monday morning when we'll road trip it to Northern Wisconsin. Our first adventure is with my sisters, a nephew, my dad and a gf on a cruise of the Apostle Islands (a group of islands off the Bayfield Peninsula in Lake Superior). After a couple days lounging at my dad's lake place, we head to my in-laws lake place in MN for a family picnic with g&g, sister-in-laws, cousins et al. Then we hit the big city for a day at the zoo, a day downtown (where all the lights are bright), an evening at the Walker Art Museum, a dinner with HS friends (organized via facebook) and various other visits and unknown encounters. Then the drive home with a stop in Boston to check out the boy-childs new pad.

I'm off work until August 20! Smiley: grin

Going to have a "me" weekend in my new-old house. I've moved everything in, but still need to put it all in its proper place. Gotta do laundry, go food shopping (been living off beans, rice, and canned soup all week), take my car in for maintenance. It's also a tax-free weekend for Florida, so I'll hit the mall and see if I can pick up a suit for my friend's wedding in September. Other than that, writing out resumes, working out, and playing Dragon Age 2. Maybe download a DLC or two for it.

Also, planning on not drinking, as I've been doing too much of that lately and it's starting to make me gain weight Smiley: tongue

We should totally start a Dragon Age thread!

I realized I posted this weekend's happenings in last weekend's thread. Oh, the gaffes! Now I'll never be president Smiley: frown

Nothing too exciting planned for this weekend. I need to drive hella far to see my... second cousin's?... birthday. The son of my cousin, whatever that is. I usually just refer to him as a cousin or nephew or just "Josh". We blew off the last couple parties at my cousin's house so I'm going to make this one even if it starts late in the day and Flea will be staying home with the baby.

Nothing planned for Sunday. Next weekend has more going on but that's Flea's story to share should she pop in.

Will probably watch season 1 of Adventure Time to make sure I'm caught up. Go out for lunch, perhaps. Not 100% sure yet.

You might still be, but you should host the Olympics in the middle of nowhere first!

The kids started school this week so this weekend will be shopping for school supplies. It's a tax free weekend here also.

Then I'll be working all weekend, since my weekends are really Monday and Tuesday now. Not sure what my husband and son are doing, probably a whole lot of nothing.

Whoa whoa whoa, way to just nonchalantly slide a post into the weekend thread.

Well, I could have waxed poetic about my Vermont vacation and how much I wish I were back...but figured a brief mention of watching Adventure Time would be better.

The condo is going to get a thorough cleaning this weekend and hoepefully I can get my dishwasher working again. Unfortunately, it's not one of those models you can slap start Smiley: sly. Other than that, I'll probably play a lot of Star Wars and veg out.

I've been playing the sims 3 a bit lately so this thread title completely threw me for a loop at first.

Can't beat a New England vacation - though Vermont is lacking a seashore. Smiley: wink2

I had to look-up adventure time - looks interesting.

Playing any games these days?

About four more hours of classroom type classes today, then field training Saturday, travel day slash getting slogged at an airport bar Sunday, and back to regular job work on Monday. This month has sucked.

Even without a seashore, Vermont is just about perfect.

Playing some LOTRO and EQ lately. That's about it. Gave RIFT and SW:TOR a whirl and although I liked Rift, it got boring. Star Wars had an awesome storyline, but there was just something about it that couldn't keep my interest. So I'm back to the madness that is EQ.

Stupid sun is going to make it 100 degrees or something here this weekend, so we may try and duck out to the coast for the better part of one day. Either that or huddle around the little air conditioner and grump up a storm, whatever works.

Chlorr is still terrorizing the mobs of Norrath?

I've heard a bit about the Moors getting an overhaul in LoTRO. I might have to re-sub for a month and check it out.

I actually made a new necro on the brand new server...so although Chlorr is still kicking about, I decided it might be safer to start over to learn to play again.

High school reunion stuff pretty much all weekend for me. I was the organizer of it so I'm inundated with details that need to be wrapped up. I'll be glad when this weekend is over.

Doing some much needed chores, and probably spending at least one night hanging out with my cousin before he ships off to boot camp next week.

I'm also enjoying Two Worlds 2 more now that I've learned that blocking if for suckers, and spam attacking is for winners.

I've been exercising and eating healthier the last month and am starting to show it. Think fat/ter than Hellboy but on a shorter 6'5" frame. I'm really starting to show results and plan on playing disc golf after several years off for the first time tomorrow AM. This is in addition to my 20-40 minutes on a stationary bike daily. I tried to go play tonight but the course was ridiculously crowded. Also, I started taking Alli on Wednesday because my weight loss hasn't been fast enough. I'm now on a reduced fat 15g or less per meal diet or else I will be shitting my pants with oily discharge.

Other than that, I'm probably going to drink a lot, ********** a fair share, and start up a game of Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.

I start school back up at the end of this month with 4 classes totaling 13 credits in addition to my current 40 hours working. I expect to be incredibly busy soon.

Lake Champlain IS pretty fantastic.

Howling Stones ranks as one of my all time favorite zones. My new necro spend some time there gaining xp/tearing things apart.

Well, had a few beers last night with some friends. Ended up shopping online. Friends don't let friends shop online while tipsy. Ended up finally ordering a new PC that I'd been debating on for about the last year. My old one is old and decrepid, so I guess I'm due.

Going to a microbrew festival today, so I guess drinking is the theme of the weekend. They've got some pretty good bands.

Tomorrow I'm going to try to get some more organizing and unpacking done around the house. I've got one week till my hardwood floors get put in, so I'd like to have everything ready for that. I'll probably mow the grass too. It's starting to grow pretty good since I got the sprinkler system going. Go figure.
