I bet they don't even have toothpaste. Probably just go out and buy a new set of teeth every 6 months or so. Then write it off as a business related expense. Can't be a corporate snake, or public figure without a nice set of teeth.

So, you're mad at Romney for being more truthful than people who are being paid money to gain viewership via stock prediction. No wonder politicians lie so much.

The preview image, my initial reaction is "What is Israel telling you to land in your airport - boats?"

Suppose so; though my cynical side wonders how anyone is shocked by this kind of thing anymore.

It's distressing because he was the most centrist of all the Republican primary candidates. I remember saying to people that I could at least tolerate him as president, compared to say Santorum or Bachmann. And maybe that's still the case, and all this recent stuff is just pandering to the far right. But it's so hard to tell.

And normally I hate the notion of "you just can't tell where that guy stands." Because all politicians are deceptive and pandering in public, and the only thing that really matters is the general position they advocate for in practice. And Romney's record in practice does peg him as more centrist in economic issues (http://ontheissues.org/Mitt_Romney.htm see diamond at the bottom). But he's doing a damn good job of making me doubt he'd act that way in the presidency, especially with Republican controlled legislature.

With all sincerity and honesty, I believe that Romney would be a rubber stamp president for a GOP congress far more to the right than Romney presents himself. I also believe that Romney would essentially hand over our Middle East foreign policy to Israel (specifically Netanyahu) which would be disastrous.

Both of those are unfounded boogeyman fears, honestly. Nothing Romney has done in his career indicates it would go this way.

Federal budgets aren't the same as business budgets either, but all I've heard so far is "He's good for the economy because of his business background."

Dunno about that. His epic healthcare flip-flop has to be taken as a bit more than simply election-time pandering.

It does? There is absolutely zero reason to think so.

Huh. Well, I guess that's that then because simple English is all I've got.
