Can we go back in time and let the South secede?Follow

#27 Jul 02 2012 at 9:05 AM Rating: Good
One of our clients just forwarded a scary FUD type email about death panels to their internal email address. It claimed that there will be no more private health insurers in the US in 20 years (as if this would be a bad thing...)

I'm annoyed that I can't reply back with "This email is a steaming pile of horse **** and you should be ashamed you fell for it." I swear, it's the healthcare version of "You must forward this to ten people or else you will have bad luck!' from twenty years ago.

Pacific coast states are west. Everything on the other side of the mountains is midwest, until you hit the Mississippi, then you're pretty much east coast. Smiley: nod

Nooo, you're not east til the at least the western border of PA.

I consider the Midwest MN, N/SD, WI, OH, IL, IN, IA, NE. Michigan is not included in the midwest because they're weirdos. Sometimes Missouri is midwest but other times not.

Pretty nice here today, too. In the sense that I wouldn't mind going outside unlike last week where I sent out the minions.

Well at least until the Colorado fire finally gets to them.

Cali is only holding onto the US by a wing and a prayer. They can just let go and float free of the fires, the zombies and the tea party.

Cockroaches and Californians - can't kill um, can't live with um.

When I think of the South, I think of Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina.... You know, Hicksville.

What's with all the California hate? They make really goddamn good beer out there, it'd be a waste to throw all that away!

That's what the Inca used to hunt. They were known as the Golden Eskimos to the Spanish. Rowing their solid gold kayaks out from the ice floes, harpooning penguins with their obsidian harpoons and making rudimentary scrimshaw toy wheels from the penguin beaks.

I don't get it either. I think California is awesome. Aside from how crazy expensive it is to live there. Even in rural areas, there's some statewide things that are just ridiculous. Like car registration. You have to pay every year, and the fee is determined based on what your car is worth. So if you have a brand new car, you're going to be paying a lot to register it for the first five years or so. Oregon does things much better in that sense. We have a flat rate of $80 something, and we pay every two years. Of course, if you have a piece of **** car like I do, you probably pay less down in California, but you still have to pay every year, which is dumb. Just an increase of annoyance and paper work.

Maybe they hate California because that's where gbaji lives?

Fortunately for the Golden State, Samira has a mitigating effect.

Their tourism commercials suck though.

California has Stone, Russian River, Green Flash, Anderson Valley, AleSmith, Anchor and so much more. That makes up for a lot of bad sh*t, if only because you can get absolutely smashed every day on amazing beer and not drink the same beer for a long time.

Edit: Oregon has a lot of good breweries too though. The West Coast in general seems to be a hot bed for great breweries.

Here in IL, it's now $100 / year flat rate. Talk about ridiculous.
