The weekend has already started for me; I'm about to give my two weeks notice to my current employer as soon as I get the official offer letter from my new one, so a lunchtime beer is in order.

Festival season has started in Chicago, so I'll be hitting up the Wells St. Art Fair tomorrow to do some day drinking and listen to crappy cover bands. Sunday will probably be for Diablo 3 and watching rerun marathons of Top Gear.

Whatchu got?

I get to come into work this weekend, because people like to procrastinate. Giving me their samples at the last minute before their grant deadline and expecting data or something.

People... Smiley: disappointed

Other than that, I'll be playing D3 and hanging out with the family and stuff.

Not much for me. I'm still job hunting. And the husband found a job and started work Thursday, so at least *some* of the pressure is off now.

We were going to go down to the street fair in my wife's hometown tomorrow, but Thom came down with croup last night. So I'll be staying home with the little ones while she goes. Shame, really, this was supposed to be a very nice weekend after several dreary, rainy days.

Congo-rats! I'll hopefully be in a similar position with my current job next month. Er, my full-time job, not the ZAM gig.

As for this weekend, I'll be applying for jobs in Tampa, finally. Spent the week prettying up my resume and cover letter, getting references together, and looking up some potential new positions. Goal is to have a new job by August. My lease expires August 1st, so I want to have something lined up before I decide where to go. I'd like to move to Tampa, but I won't get an apartment without a job. Luckily I have people both here and in Tampa willing to put me up if I end up not finding anything by then.

Other than that, I need to play TERA for ZAM. I just downloaded it the other night. So, lots o' gaming for me!

I also want to beat ME1 for the second time. Hoping to hit level 60 so I get the best possible stats for the start of ME2. Currently at 57; I've completed two of the big main missions and I'm hoping there's enough EXP left to get to the cap...

Don't forget to add a bullet point about how you won't show up at work naked and eat people's faces.

My weekend started already too! I took the day off to go to the doctor and go see the vampires to have some bloodwork done. I might go check out a weekend matinee tomorrow. Other than that, I have to buy my son's birthday present and play lots and lots of Star Wars.

Bloodwork Saturday morning followed by family BBQ Saturday afternoon, haven't seen any of that side of the family since my wedding and not for years before that.

Sunday will be running around (groceries etc) and possibly digging out and resetting my patio stones from the deck around the side of the house to the gate. Probably not though, don't see how I'm going to have the time to complete the job and can't leave it half finished since the wife does daycare.

@Demea, what's with a new job? [fingers crossed]Are you giving up the life of a heartless corporate hack to work on an organic mushroom farm?[/fingers crossed]

@Nilitai, when do you get your new hand? You should paint it gold and we'll call you Kingslayer.

Sunday I'm going to graduation ceremony at my kid's old HS followed by a quick open house. That's my only plan.

My current company was acquired in December last year, and I had the choice to either move to Minnesota or get lost by September. I decided to get lost, but since they didn't give us any retention bonus/agreement, I'm jumping ship now.

And I'll be working for a Fortune 100 firm in the energy generation/distribution industry. The organic mushroom farm didn't offer comparable benefits.

Girl's night tonight, buying a an outdoor playset for the not-so-little one so he can work that chunk off, and hopefully enjoying a quiet weekend with minimal stress now that I know that the *** who hit a car, caused it to hit two others, myself, and caused me to hit another has assumed responsibility for the accident and will be paying my repairs. Also-mom comes next weekend, so I'll be spending the time evenly split between stressing over my house not being clean enough, trying to lose 20 lbs in a week and furiously teaching the baby the entire alphabet. You know, the usual **** you worry about when your mother visits.

Jonwin works all weekend while I laze about the house and make jewelry to sell. Tomorrow is the Post Convention meeting for Balticon46. Some folks are already working on Balticon47.

Saw Dermatologist for my first skin check today. Turns out that the spots in question are due to aging skin, not cancer. Doc notice all the red spots on my legs, from ingrown hairs and gave me antibiotic for them. I have to walk up to the Pharmacy to get refills tomorrow, so hope weather stays nice. Sunscreen was bought on my way home from Doctors, so I can limit damage due to aging.

So far tonight as been a double mudslide night.

I spent all day at work wrasslin' with a new enterprise class AV I'd never worked with before. Took me a frickin hour just to determine which installer to use on the main server.
