Jonwin is packing the car and once food is consume, we will be heading to the hotel, and Balticon46. He still has to work today and Monday, but I have to set up Special Needs Desk, put my jewelry in the Art Show and finish the Zelda and Link costumes. They need to be hem before 5pm tomorrow.

Don't break anything while we're gone.

Going to barbeque enough animals to piss off Peta.

Going to try to remember that Monday is a holiday and not try to go to work. Oh, and going to have a picnic and try flying a kite with Thom.

This. I had forgotten until I read this thread, probably doesn't help the calendar on our wall was set on April. Anyhoo, littlest one has a birthday party. 1 year old. That means no more formula, and we get to transition her to more real food. So yay for a shrinking food budget. Family in town and other stuff that needs to get done around the house. I imagine we'll keep pretty busy.

Also want to play some D3.

Two weeks ago my husband lost his job. That meant that neither of us are working. Yay! So last week we loaded up everything and came back to Nashville and we're staying with my sister while we try and get back on our feet. Right now the only money we have coming in is my unemployment and that's not much at all. The hubby has applied for unemployment, but there's a mandatory four week waiting period in TN before you see any money (which is bullsh*t). He's found a part-time job, but they only pay twice a month, so it's going to be a while before we see any of that money. And an old friend of mine said I could come bartend at the restaurant she works at, but it's such a long drive, I'm not sure I'd make any money once you factor in gas.

what holiday is this monday for you folks? We had our may monday off this week - it is a queen thing.

Next week is the last week of a yearly event at my work which is both exciting and tiring. Looking forward to the party we'll be having next week to mark the end of this yearly phase. As for this weekend, not sure... maybe drinking lots of water and going on a bike ride. Or maybe I'll drink beer and play D3.

Which is funny, since we still have another month or so before the rain stops and the nice weather starts. Don't tell anyone in the campgrounds though. Our secret.

I'll be packing some more, and doing some homework. There's a motorcycle ralley of sorts in town that I'll probably hit tomorrow, and a graduation party on Sunday. Looking forward to a 3 day break from the office, for sure.

My weekend starts on Monday as I work straight through the weekend. Got a BBQ to go to tomorrow evening, but for the most part, it's going to be work, sleep, and some EQ in between. I would normally have taken this weekend off, but I'm travelling across the country and back in August, so I'm trying to fill the ol' bank account.

This weekend recovering from some minor surgery and revising for exams. Stupid timing. Sigh.

It took me longer than I should probably admit to get that.

So, how did everyones weekend D3 binge go?

A3 NM for me.

Act 2 Hell but getting a little bored with monk.

The costumes had two major mishaps. first the tunic for link costume was too small, so I had to put in panels under the sleeves. Then they lost one boot cover on way to rehearsal. Still they were well enough made that the grand kids looked great on the stage. Link was swashbuckling and Zelda demure. (she e very shy, but loves to be in the Masquerade.

Jewelry in Art Show, was hit and miss on reviews. A couple pieces I should have left, while my copper tree ornaments and hair sticks got praises. In end I did well for I got 4 sales at minimum bids, covering my costs with some profit.

Still I was lucky to be able to make it to science GoH, Dr. William D. Phillips, Laureate, The Nobel Prize in Physics 1997, talk on The Coolest things in the Universe. Meet Artist GoH Jim Odbert, when he got to the Con and was looking for the Art Show. Which I gave him directions to. and Hear Guest of Honor: Jody Lynn Nye talk on Tuckerizing people in her stories, as well as other authors who have Tucker people they know in to their stories.

Tuckerization is to have an Author write you into their book or short story. I was the only person there in the audience that had been Tuckerized.

Muck around on a lowbie and I'll party with your monk in a few days.

At least it's not horde illusionist invulnerable minions.

I can deal with jail/desc, but the projectile party ones are rough to kite as a mage.
