My #1 goal is to make the carpet less crunchy when I walk on it. We have brown carpet, and cheerios are the #1 snack food around the house. Not the best combination in retrospect.
If you'd had white/beige carpet, you'd have seen all the stains and mess though, so you bought yourself some time.
. Speaking as someone who's basically given up on the current carpets (time for hardwood anyway). Light colors look great, until they don't anymore.
This weekend is birthday dinner for a friend of mine on Saturday, followed by the usual drinks and debauchery. Should be lots of fun. I mean, what could go wrong with eating and drinking, right?
Sunday, we return from a brief Mothers day hiatus to resume our Sunday RPG. We'll be assaulting some local vampire guy named Lord Argar/ire/er/whatever. We're unfortunately not taking him seriously because his name sounded too much like Argyle, which made us think of knitting. Which led us to speculating about what sorts of things he knits. I came up with "fang cozies", and now he's "Lord Fang Cozy", which just doesn't sound terribly scary. We imagine he's sitting in his manor home, sipping a nice cup of blood, wearing a house coat, comfy socks, and a cap (perhaps with earmuffs?), and protecting his antique furniture with nice doilies or something. Yeah. Just not too intimidating.
