Yes, well the Japanese also have a bizarre interest in incest too. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of things about their culture, but that has always unsettled me.

True, but that's the biggest one for me. Angel Sanctuary scarred me. It's one thing to set up a romantic relationship between newly formed step-siblings. It's a bit odd, but it doesn't really bother me. Setting up a romantic relationship between biological siblings who grew up together though? That bothers me.

There are other things about the movie that I DO like, it's just that particular part that I have issues with. Kind of like how I really like The 5th Element, but I hate the character that Chris Tucker plays. I still enjoy watching the movie despite him being in it.

Somewhat. It's a little complicated, but it's about half them and half us. You'll find the topic far less taboo in most first world countries other than the U.S., but even more so in Japan.
