It's funny to me because seeing military aircraft is so normal and occurs so often that I forget that for most people it's a rare and special thing. For example, I saw two F-18s taking off at a steep angle whilst walking though the parking garage at work this morning. I've seen two Osprey's flying north from my office window just in the last 30 minutes. And this isn't unusual at all. Yes. You may all be jealous now!
