There's no reason to assume "worthy" has to mean "pure of spirit". It just means "passed some criteria". If nothing else, he's keeping the rabble out. After all, he'll let you in to defile the Urn if that's the way you go so he's obviously not really judging personal character or theological purity.

Well if I can inform her risk factors for various illnesses, so she knows to keep watch, she should be appreciative. Smiley: mad

[EDIT]

For anyone who wants some better continuity going to DA2, I found this mod I'm excited to try out. It makes Isabela and Flemeth look more like they do in DA2. It'll only work if you haven't met the characters yet, though.

This one will make your dog a summoned 5th party member, which would be OP. But combined with an increased difficulty mod, I like the idea. Not for this play through, but maybe for my run when I'm a Mage-hating Templar and won't use Morrigan or Wynne.

For people who just want to see white teeth.

I found a nice cheat mod that gives you this item, where when you use it, all the enemies die. I don't plan on using it forever, just until I get caught up to where I was before. It's making things go by a lot quicker though. That, combined with the skip the fade mod, made the Mage Circle go by really fast. I also finished the first part of Redcliffe village, first part of Denerim, and had Alistair meet his sister (properly hardened him this time too). Heading back to Redcliffe now to finish that up.

I like Digg's ideas. Having Flemeth be Andraste would be pretty **** cool I think. Would also make me feel a bit guilty for killing her. =/ Although I suppose if she's immortal, it wouldn't make much of a difference either way.

Nah. It didn't blend with the rest of her sentences like a normal laugh, it sounded like someone pressed the "Laugh" button after each of her sentences. And who the **** even laughs like that, anyway? I've known old women and none of them did. That she she moves like a robot or puppet when she does it.

Flemeth is the worst voice acted character in the game. Loghain is a (somewhat distant) second place. But at least he doesn't have me working the ESC key like a rat in a Skinner box every time he's on the screen.

You know I swear a few times I heard the laugh it blended just fine, but then it kept popping up again and again, and after everything she said. Like they went back over the recordings a month later and someone thought "hey, creepy lady needs more maniacal laughter." Bob from accounting thought it was a good idea so they edited it in a bunch of places it wasn't before.

Hmm, I'm encountering a bug and I'm not quite sure what to do about it. I'm trying to do Warden's Keep, and when I get to the second floor, after killing off the baddies, the door to the shrine is still locked. After a quick google search, I found out that this is an issue if either your character or one of your companions level during that fight on the second floor. Thing is, none of my companions did level. Leliana is really close (like half a bar) but she didn't actually level. I wonder if maybe one of my companions in camp leveled and that somehow affected it? My best idea of what to do is to go about doing some other questing and then come back later (reverting to an earlier save before going to the second floor) and see if that helps. Anyone else have any ideas?

My experience is that Flemeth repeatedly rapes me unless I'm far enough long to have the additional skills to handle her (especially the "don't fall over" warrior talents or else my melees spend the fight either on their back or in her mouth... which sounds better typed than witnessed) or I set the game on Casual for the encounter. I might just suck though.

I just remember getting some mileage out of the protection glyph, if I could get Alistair to stay in it. I don't remember how early in the game I did it, but I wasn't managing my party very well at that point, so I had a bit of difficulty getting the ranged to stay at range, etc. Leliana kept switching to melee mode and running in and getting killed, IIRC.

Yea, that's where you switch her tactics to the Ranged. She typically stays next to my mage. I've found earthquake to be great at dealing with archers/mages while myself and Alistair eat up the melee.

I believe (I think it was in this thread) that it used to be better and got nerfed.

Once you complete the game and DLC once, subsequent runs are a lot less thrilling for gear. "Here's your fancy leather armor, here's your bow, here's your end-game robe, let's go get the armor from Warden's Peak/Ostagar..."

Well, yeah. This is when the game first came out, and I already stated that I wasn't managing my party well. That was probably the first time I actually had to pay attention to positioning and what my party members were doing.

I was playing on whatever the hardest difficulty is that doesn't feature friendly fire, because I was playing a mage, and my party members had a propensity for moving into **** that I was already casting. I'm all for my having to avoid hitting my party members, but when I'm casting Storm of Awesomeness on a designated area, they should be smart enough to stay the **** out of it.

Hold position command, remove Leliana's daggers, and turn off any personal range abilities. :P

Flemeth is definitely a tough fight if done traditionally, since she has an overwhelm-like ability, fire attacks, tail sweeps, and leg kicks. This allows her to deal out substantial damage in both AoE and to the tank.

But she also has a huge weakness--she has next to no maneuverability, and her only ranged options are fire attacks.

An all ranged party with fire resist gear/warmth balms can take her out fairly easily, as long as you are careful to actually police their range (hold position, manually move them back into range). Of course, you can't bring Morrigan, so your options are only Wynne, Leliana, and Shale for the naturally ranged-specced. Dragons are weak to cold damage, iirc, but IDK if there are any frost poisons. But you might have given Wynne Frost Weapons.

I was about to write something about how I was getting upset with Leliana over her whole Dirty Fighting thing. How she's only suppose to use it when people get in melee range of her or something, but every now and then someone seems to get close enough to trigger it. Inevitably it's one of those people who likes to retreat and she chases them halfway across the map. Smiley: lol

I wouldn't worry. There are really a ton of ways to clear that encounter. I honestly don't think the intent was for it to be a normal fight. They intentionally created this huge boss with a very low area of movement. They made the encounter one you have to initiate, so it's not like you can't avoid it when your setup wasn't ideal. Etc. It's meant to be a fight you approach with a specific strategy in mind, without dungeon shenanigans to interfere with your choices.

All ranged party with fire resist is one option.

Another is to deal with the AoE damage by flanking her (hopefully with at least one of your two dps as ranged), but minimize your tank's damage by keeping him out of melee range (manually position, use a bow and arrow with massive armor, spam taunt, use fire resist gear/balms).

The hilarious strategy I've never used, because it doesn't work on the PS3, is to pepper the landscape with as many traps as possible. When Flemeth shapeshifts, she'll take damage from all of them. Smiley: lol

If you can get Wade's best gear before this fight, you'll be in a much better position.

Yeah, but don't you have to kill a big dragon to be able to have that stuff made anyway? The fights are pretty much the same, so if you can clear one, you should be able to clear the other, even without the armor.
