I'm hitting the links for the first time this year on Saturday. I haven't had the chance yet to get any practice in at the driving range, so I'll probably be so frustrated by the turn that I'll be hammered by the 12th hole.

More importantly, Game of Thrones is returning this weekend! If you don't have HBO, get it. If you haven't seen the first season, buy/rent/steal it. It's probably the best show on TV right now, and it's fairly true to the books if you're a stickler for that sort of thing.

Oh yeah. Smiley: nod

I want to marathon the first season on Saturday. We'll see how that goes. Not much else going on. Hunger Games got pushed back to this weekend, so there's that. Then just writin'.

I'll be practicing putting while waiting on people to come over to estimate how much it'll cost to have an extension patio-type room built to the ol' homestead. So that should last the entire weekend.

Just got back from the dentist, right at almost toothhurty! (they gave me a cookie though!) I've got a laptop on the bench to reload, along wiith a hard drive I apperently need to pull in my personal secondary PC, which is annoying. Also starting the buildup of the replacement chassis for the Primary PC. My ACTS 840 case finally arrived, along with the new water pump and control interface (A koolance RP-1200) The radiators aren't here yet, nor are the new quick disconnect fittings, so I'm not sure how far I'll get. I've also been debating reusing my existing reservoir or installing a different one so i can keep that in play when that case becomes the new secondary PC, so I may need to pick up one of those before I get too far along. I'm planning one triple 120mm radiator ont he top, and a second single 120 on the rear, which will be a net gain of one radiator core segment over what I have currently, which should compensate for the video card nicely (3GB 580 GTX) Now that the 680 GTX's are out, i might even be able to track down a second 580 without too much difficulty. I'll take some pictures of it all once I get further along.

I'm hopeing the rain lets up a little so I can plant a few more vegitables and get some fertalizer down in the garden sometime in here too. Got all my roses in, most of the veggies in (except for tomatoes, potatoes, and peppers, which are apperently not yet in season), I need to add a few more sugar snap peas and their associated pea trellis, and the perimiter anti bug marigolds (that trick really works well by the way if you plant them dense enough. most bugs won't even cross the line.)

Other than that, I dunno. maybe some reading?

Alas my Uni house only has freeview, so I will not be watching Game of Thrones on TV. I will however be scouring the interwebs for it on Monday.

This weekend will mostly be revising for tests next week. Bleh.

Of course, I'm looking forward to the next season of Game of Thrones. Not sure what I'm doing Saturday. Probably laundry and other boring household type stuff. Sunday, I'm going to the ballet (hah! Just realized what tree that is in the picture). I'm sure my niece is playing a critically important role. She's been taking strength and balance training for the last few months, which sorta marks the point where you're moving from just running round looking cute on stage to actually doing more difficult moves and positions. So probably something between a woodland creature and a main part I'm guessing. Should be fun.

Sunday night, myself and the rest of my gaming group will be finishing up the evil 4,000 year old temple of used-to-be-good-but-is-now-infected-with-ickyness. We've already defeated the main-main bad guy, purified the altar from its ickyfied state (more or less), recovered the magic bowl of importantness, and are basically checking out parts we haven't been to yet for loot (cause that's just how we roll). I have to deal with my chicken co-adventurers though. All the way into the temple, they've been like "Let's just find the main objective first. We can explore the rest later". Now, they're like "Ok. We got what we came for. Let's just get out of here while the gettings good!". They just don't get that half the fun is looting the place or something!

I may try to watch the last few episodes of GoT season 1 tomorrow, since I've forgotten a lot of it. I remember the last scene in the S1 finale, but that's about it, haha.

Hmm, I could start getting the GoT discs from Netflix; currently we're sitting on a copy of "Adventurers in Babysitting" that we likely won't be watching.

For my weekend, we're going up to my wife's sister's family, since they're having a shared birthday party for their two boys. It's at a bowling alley, and I'm looking to break 200.

Speaking of Game of Thrones, I watched a special on the show called Win or Die. It was a basic season recap with interviews from the cast and a few glimpses of the new season. It was the first time that I saw the actress that plays Daenerys with her natural hair color. Blond is definitely not her color, she looks good on the show, but as a brunette she is drop dead gorgeous.

I had the exact same thought.

Plus, I've already seen her tits.

I watched GoT last night. The hour passed by too quickly. Too much recap, too much imp and his *****, too much Catelyn Stark. Not enough Arya, not enough John Snow, not enough dragons.

I did yardwork this weekend. Smiley: grin

I imagine that those who haven't read the books haven't the slightest idea what was happening in several of those scenes (e.g. the scene with Melisandre burning the wooden statues of the Seven).

The baby at times would only be soothed by watching Jessie J videos. I have no idea what exactly made Jessie J click for him but he'll drop what he's doing and run to the screen and watches enraptured when he hears her. I guess he's probably not going to be affected by SSM laws when he grows up. We refer to her as the Future Mrs Baby-Joph.

Don't have HBO for Game of Thrones but Mad Men is back on TV so Smiley: thumbsup from me.

Yeah, I was surprised that they jumped straight into that without letting the audience acclimate themselves to the characters a bit first.

Davos looks cool. Stannis is what you get if you smash Al Pacino and Jason Statham's heads together. Love the casting on this show.

I expected Davos to look a bit gruffer and be shorter and Stannis to have less hair.

This. I love the imp. And I wanted to see more dragons, but overall I enjoyed it. My husband never watched season 1, despite my insistence (nagging) that he'd like it. So I spent quite a bit of last night explaining to him who people were and what was going on. Next time I have to catch him up on something (I'm looking at you, Homeland), I'm just going to tie him down and force him to watch it on On Demand.
