My husband left early this morning. He'll be gone for THREE weeks. I came in to work and found 4 boxes of GS cookies on my chair. How's that for timing?

Tonight I'm going to drink wine, eat Thin Mints, watch Puss-In-Boots and listen to Antonia Banderas (Smiley: inlove) .

I have no other plans pending.

You?

My birthday party thing this Sunday so my weekend will consist of frantically cleaning and preparing as much as I can for the 4 course dinner I'm cooking up for my parents, siblings and attachments. My fridge is almost bursting and my cat is going utterly mental with the various shopping bags.

Hey there...need some company? Smiley: wink

I have no plans that I know of. If I get a chance I'll be starting my free RIFT game.

See if my computer can handle TERA or will it just **** itself. Probably will do the latter just to make me sad panda.

End up playing some stockpiles of old games. ME2, Skyrim (150 hours and I had to walk away, never did much of the main quest Smiley: tongue), and DA:O are all calling to me. Probably will focus on ME2 since Skyrim will take me a good 50+ hours to play through the main quest (and still satisfy my butterfly catching compulsion) and DA:O I barely got started with and that would take me at least as long as Skyrim will.

Pull some weeds in the yard. Nothing too hard, just some small buggars that I need to nip in the butt before they are small no longer. Also should pick up doggy doo but I will probably, and regrettably, put it off till a latter date.

Right now? Probably dink around on RIFT for a bit till 2ish then to the beginning of my list I go.

I've got forty bucks worth of Thin Mints in my office mini fridge, under lock and key. I'll probably sneak a few bites over the weekend when I gotta work this weekend.

I picked up Rift again for the anniversery, so I'll be mucking about with that a bit. I finally have all of my paperwork in order so I'll also be spending some time with my taxes. On Sunday it's supposed to be 60 with clear skies, so I'll probably go find out what what this "sun" thing is that I've heard so much about.

First off, this is some freak stuff right here (SRW - Spider-Related Warning), although my weekend hopefully has nothing to do with spiders.

My weekend will consist of me begrudgingly attempting to go back to the gym (why?), game night with friends on Saturday and probably stupid amounts of SW:TOR on Sunday.

PS. Does anyone play Edgeworld? It is sort of Ogame-ish... loosely. It doesn't really get interesting until you join an alliance and then get to engage in more strategy as you take over bases in an Othello-like style of conquering areas. Message me if you find it somewhat tolerable and wish to play - I can help you out with resources. So far, I've not had to wake up at 3am to try to keep my stuff. =P

Our garage was broken into the other day and some various electronics stolen from our cars. I hope the thieves enjoy my old Sansa Mp3 player with its selection of James Taylor, Tilly & the Wall, Imelda May and Leonard Cohen. We already got the side door repaired (it's a detached garage) and all signs point to it being young miscreants but Flea wants to price out a home security system for peace of mind. So we've got that going this weekend.

I started playing Bulletstorm which, aside from not being a very good game, crashes on a pretty regular basis. Time to move on to something else.

Artichoke and basil mousse wrapped in parma ham as amuse, spicy bell pepper soup, goat cheese filled chicken with small potatoes, green beans and honey gravy and a mocha ice mousse for dessert.

Birthday celebration this weekend (technically, the official day is the 13th, though). The fiance was very insistent that we celebrate it, on account of it going by almost completely unheralded for the past 3 years.

So we're meeting friends for dinner, then hitting a bar with a pool table. Should be nice and chill.

Not much else going on. I'd like to find a spare hour or two to finish Journey, and then put together an editorial/review on it. Beautiful game so far. I'm waiting on news about my E3 registration...hopefully I'll find out soon, and can get myself all booked.

I got what could be called "discovered" by a few big record and booking/management executives a week or so ago, so depending on how schedules go, I may be meeting with another one or two people this weekend. That, and I'm playing a big birthday thing on Saturday. When I first got the job, they told me it was an 80's crowd. I didn't figure out until days later that they meant the age, not the decade. We'll see how that goes. I hope to be able to go out and see my favorite local band after my thing on Saturday.

Sunday brings nothing. Just the way I like it.

This weekend will consist of doing all those fun errands necessary to go out of town (dry cleaning, laundry, buying those annoying mini-bottles of contact solution and toothpaste, etc). Also, Deus Ex: HR and boozing, maybe even at the same time!

I may be in the minority here, but I would recommend DA:O over either of the other two games, and would recommend playing that one first (unless you're sitting on ME3 until you finish the previous title).

Ogame.us just opened a new normal ACS server last week, in which I have started an account for giggles. Just sayin'.

Decided against KoA?

Not that I've played KoA and Skyrim is a good game. I just remembered you asking about it.

Tonight: Get as much housework, laundry and yardwork done as possible since this weekend is packed. Birthday gift shopping for one of Charmaine's friends. Hopefully watch Real Steel on DVD.

Saturday: Balboa Park in San Diego is having their annual rummage sale so hoping to find a lost treasure and other fun stuff that might make us millionaires a la Antique Road Show. Charmaine's field hockey team is having their end of season party in the afternoon so I need to get lumpia and pancit together for that. Then opera that night with Ray. Don Pasquale. I love the opera. Ray doesn't, but I got Dress Circle seats.

Sunday: Helping a friend with some legal stuff in the morning so she can see her attorney. Charmaine's friend's birthday lunch party (Cheesecake Factory here I come!). Hopefully by the evening I can take it easy.

No real plans here this weekend, unless the husband decides he wants us to do something.

I patched up Rift and I figure I'll play it some. Trying to figure out this Anniversary even they've got going on.

I haven't posted in a while, last two weekends were really busy. I went to Vegas 2 weeks ago, and blew a significant (for me) amount of cash celebrating my brother's 30th birthday. I was the old guy in the group, and despite being older and more mature I still drank too much and took about 3 days to recover from that trip. Even though I'd been there 3 times already, that was the first time I really gambled and actually stayed in one of the casino hotels. Now that I've done it, I'm pretty sure I won't be doing it again. To quote Sgt Murtagh, "I'm too old for this Shit..."

Last weekend I had to finish up final projects for two classes, and managed to get A's in both. Started 2 new ones this week, an english class, and a networking class. So I'll be spending some time working on that this weekend. Also, I got a call from my realtor saying the condo market has flushed a bunch of inventory and it might be a great time to try to sell again. I tried last summer/fall with not much luck. I'll likely be spending at least a little time identifying what needs to be done again before I put it back on the market.

As for gaming, I'm finally pretty burnt out on Skyrim, as I finished pretty much all the main questlines except the bard one. Also pretty burnt out on CoD, so I might look for something else to play. I'm not sure how much time I'll have for that though, as I just picked up season 1 of Game of Thrones on blueray on Tuesday and am only 4 episodes in.
