With any luck, My new nephew will be born today! though since my sister hasn't gone into labor yet, thats admittedly unlikely at this point.

If she's close enough, I'm surprised they haven't already induced labor just to have the baby born on the 29th. They do it for other things, like New Years, etc.

They'll save on car insurance until he's 64. Good plan.

Go go leap year baby! If I was born on leap day, I would demand a birthday month of February on the off years.

I'm going to honor today in the traditional* fashion... by drinking!

* I've no idea if there is a Leap Day tradition but drinking is a fairly safe bet.

Leap years suck. It effectively means we work an extra day, but for free if we're on salary.

Think of it this way, 3 out of every 4 years you're getting extra money for working less!

Yay half-full glass! Smiley: yippee

If you're on a two-week pay schedule (as I am) and get paid today, Wednesday (as I do), this is your third paycheck of the month. Smiley: grin

I'm on a one-week schedule which is weird because I haven't received a weekly check since I was in my early 20s.

Three-quarters full seems more appropriate in this example.

Apperently, my sister elected not to have her baby on leap year. I figure I'll tell the kid he was born on leap year anyways and they just don't want to tell him because of the Prophecy! or something along those lines.
