Sensing a trend.

Me, too.

I wish I could play Mass Effect right now...

I can't help it. Smiley: frown I did a physics at school. Weight is a force and a vector. It has direction. It has acceleration.

Hmm, actually, weight does conceptually mesh with well with sex.

How is that not hypocritical to say it's ok for a woman to have her 4th abortion because she doesn't use protection, but wrong for a woman to have her first abortion because she wants a male?

Overwhelmingly the responses in this thread (Sweetums included) claim that it's not wrong for a woman to have an abortion (regardless of reason). Independent of that argument, most also negatively view a societal believe that woman are of less worth than men.

I don't disagree. That's what I said. However, if you have a problem against abortions for that reason, then you're no different than everyone else having problems with abortions for certain reasons.

You may see it as "women being less worth than men", but the people having the abortion may see it as "passing on the family name" or "having a daughter". My friends are mostly women and I'll do anything for a woman before I do for a man, however, I still would rather have a son than a daughter. Likewise, most of my female friends want daughters than sons. I have no intentions of ever having an abortion, but if we decide to have an abortion to have a girl or to have a boy, you can't deduce our feelings on sexes. If a couple only wants one child and wants it to be a daughter, why should you care what they do if you support abortions?

As I said, the inequality of sexes is a separate issue from abortion and they shouldn't be placed together.

Yes, but to what extinct? Are you willing to ban abortion to prevent this? How will you differentiate "I don't want a girl/boy" from " I just don't want a child"?

You need a new flash card for "extinct", I believe.

Error should not be used singularly. Alma's posts read like a misogynistic, backwards babelfish.
