So, what are you lot up to this weekend?

Tonight I'm going for a curry and a **** up with my closest friends to celebrate my birthday.

Then probably some Skyrim and Uni work for the rest of the weekend. Exciting stuff!

So, Asylum, what are you saying?

Day 4 of being sick as a dog and I'm only getting worse. Today: The lungs burn and I have an easier time breathing through my nose than I do my mouth.

Still, I'm going to work because I need the money and I'm not sick enough to justify missing it, really.

Dinner out tonight with the husband.

In-laws coming over tomorrow to visit.

Nothing on Sunday, the way I like it.

Gonna help my parents move into their new place Saturday. Friday night will likely be a night of Pathfinder, while Saturday night will likely be a night of Skyrim.

I've decided that this winter I'm going to go through all the junk in my basement and ween it out. I feel burdened. I'm going to begin this weekend.

I'm gonna buy a game to play too. Should I get Skyrim or SWTOR?

Tonight, hubbies cooking up steak on the barbie. Son and his SO will be joining us. I think I'll make grasshoppers.

Haha, that's right. If you're too sick for school/work you're too sick to go out and play!

I've sort of told some folks from my Warhammer Guild that I'd be joining them. I'm still subbed to War though. The last two US servers were just merged into one. So, there are momentarily people to fight with and against again.

Skyrim is really good.

SWTOR is good but I'm not sure it really has staying power, I'd definitely go with Skyrim first but both are good.

A few friends kept chatting up SW:TOR so I bought it - I'm quickly getting sucked into the game. It is pretty fun so far, although I'm only a few levels into it. Some people hate how it is so story driven, but I like it.

For the weekend, I was supposed to go to a cabin with some friends but apparently the cabin was broken into and a few things stolen. I'm not sure we are able to go now since it is now a crime scene.

The weather's supposed to be nice (50 degree January, yay) so I'll probably go out for some light training to get used to my new Vibrams.

Yeah, I've heard this. Also that the storylines are fairly unique to each class/race. That's cool.

I've also heard, though, that the pvp is not so spectacular.

Did you get finger shoes?

I'm skeptical about them. I hated toe-socks.

So true, so true.

And no one in my office is unsuspecting. I've been asked to Lysol down the main phone any time I touch it.

But they need me here, so I'm glad I came. (Even if by "needing" it's just me being the spare body in case of an emergency and I'm posting on ZAM while I wait for said emergency to appear.)

The waitstaff and any gcustoemrs/coworkers they encounter throughout the night after he/she serves you would be unsuspecting.

Probably going to head out to the bar to watch the wildcard game tomorrow night with some pals, then plow through Assassin's Creed: Revelations all weekend.

Awesome movie, although I made the mistake of seeing it with my family over the holiday weekend. Definitely not a "family-friendly" flick, but fantastic nonetheless.

Having not played SW:TOR, I would still recommend Skyrim. I fucking love the Elder Scrolls games, and although this one is a little light on the character customization (and easy to EZ-mode with max smithing/enchanting), it's still hella awesome.

Right now, the Warzones (PVP battlegrounds) are all levels. They just scale your stats to 50 so lower level players are still somewhat competitive. Of course, the higher level players still have access to their high level abilities so it can be quite rough. As it is, the Warzones are server-dependent, so I could see them becoming cross-server with level brackets in the future.

I find the PVP fun, but that's also because I PVP pretty casually. If you take it seriously, I can see the complaints about it. I imagine it will be addressed in the future.

The story-driven game is pretty fun. I'm around level 30, so I'm not sure how robust the endgame is yet. I imagine I'll be able to amuse myself by playing through the various class stories for some time, but there needs to be something in place once you're done with that stuff.

Yeah, on Wednesday I made my husband go get take out for that very reason. I didn't even want to risk cooking dinner for him between my 100F fever and the fact that our kitchen overhead light is presently busted and won't be repaired until this weekend.

Maybe dinner out isn't such a good idea after all. Smiley: frown But we're pretty much out of food in the house, because we did a big end of the year fridge and cupboard cleanout. I can make pancakes and biscuits and any matter of carbohydrate based meals at the moment (provided I cook before 5PM due to the aforementioned kitchen light issue) and I was going to do my normal Saturday grocery shopping tomorrow to get fresh proteins and vegetables and whatnot.

Wow, that was bad. My spellcheck on FF isn't working right now. Guess I should do a better job of checking for typos before hitting "Post".

Why not? They go to work when they're sick and pass it on to you. You're doing them a favour anyway. You're helping their immune systems encounter more things, so as to be better prepared to fight off more serious illnesses.
