Sears has a 32" HDTV for $200.00. It's a Seiki.

We just bought a 32" HDTV for my daughter (see post #3001JP-04K in forum=28). It was a Hidear and was $230.00. It came from Big Lots though.

Anyone ever heard of either of these brands?

I'm kind of tempted to take back the one from Big Lots and get the one from Sears. It's not the thirty bucks so much as buying it from a more reputable retailer. I was a little skeptical buying a tv from Big Lots to begin with.

However, if the Hidear is a better brand, well then, I'll keep it.

Walmart had a $99 special edition light blue Wii for $99 on Black Friday. It's not available via the website though (and likely sold out at stores). Looks like you'd drop $149 on a black one now.

Edit: $139 for a new one from Gamestop. $79 if you don't mind buying used.

Verizon had a commercial advertising the Motorola Xoom for $199 with a 2 yr contract, I believe. Checked their site, but only found it listed at $299 at the time.

Well, the red arrow is on the right and he's far too liberal to consider it an option.

Being overseas, I figured I would try "Cyber Monday". I got disappointed and quit. Most of the advertisements that I saw were products at regular prices, i.e. "Kindle Fire for $199.99"...Smiley: mad

Not cyber monday, but black friday related. I had to hit up Wal-mart Friday night because the wife demanded so. I saw an HP pc set up with a 20 inch flat screen, 2 gigs of ram and a 1.6 dual core processor for 649 dollars... They actually marked the thing up in black friday in hopes of selling them in the rush. GG Wal-mart...

I'd like a wii, but honestly, I only want it to play Zelda, which would mean spending another fifty bucks on the game. To further subtract from the gaming wallet, SWTOR comes out in a couple weeks and I've committed myself to jumping in at release with some guildies - so there's yet another sixty dollars.

Anyway the wiiU comes out next year. I'm expecting for it to be able to fully integrate me - mind, body and soul with my favorite fantasy games.

I think I'm going to pick up a couple bottles of decent wine though.

Local liquor store (think wal-mart of liquor stores) had a buy one get one for a penny sale yesterday. I picked up a case mixed with Riesling and White Zin for like 40 bucks. Do love me that Riesling...

You don't use it to stay fit?

The other reason I've wanted a wii was for the wii fitness. I used the wii yoga program when I visited my in-laws last year. I was there about a week and a half and did it every day i think. I felt much yoga-improved.

So then not only would one need to get the wii, they'd need the wii fitness board/program and zelda skyward sword and they'd need to get a netflix subscription.

Best to leave the wii alone.

Don't get me wrong here, it's great for using it to stay fit. But I'm lazy and the thought of playing Just Dance 2 with my wife for a few hours vs sitting down and watching SG1 I really feel SG1 would win out.

I have a Bowflex, an elliptical machine and a treadmill for that. As well as a large lawn (mowing) and driveway (shovelling snow).

I think the WiiU is basically an ipad style controller for the Wii, so you will need the base system either way.
