I don't think Newt will get the nomination (It's a shame too cause he would tear up Barry in a one on one debate) cause it's always fun and entertaining to hear him speak.

Newt explaining OWS brilliantly

I don't suppose "take a pay cut to help fund more jobs, Mr. CEO" factors into OWS at all, amirite?

Given that Newt's sole answer in every debate is to throw a little princess fit and cry about the mean ole media for asking such a dumb question, I too think it's a shame that Newt won't win the nomination and get to debate Obama Smiley: smile

I'd say that that's going to get old, but I don't think Newt's gonna have the spotlight long enough for it.

Newt Gingrich had some tough words for the Congressional Budget Office, CNN reports.

Said Gingrich: "The CBO is a reactionary socialist institution which does not believe in economic growth, does not believe in innovation and does not believe in data that it has not internally generated."

Former CBO director Douglas Holtz-Eakin, a Republican, called the allegation "ludicrous."

Said Holtz-Eakin: "I think if you parse that phrase carefully, he got one out of three right. I do agree it is an institution. If you're playing baseball, that's a decent batting average."

Honestly, unless the Republicans can pull together and stop bickering, they won't stand a chance against Obama.

It's too bad Arnold Schwarzenegger can't run for the extra lulz.

Sort of sad the right can't seem to field a viable candidate aside from washed-up actors, and that's a depleted pool, it seems. Ahnold can't run. Fred Thompson has the charisma of a pet rock. Kelsey Grammar has even more baggage than Newt.

And the only candidate that offers a challenge can't get a solid endorsement from the GOP.

If I were a cynic, I'd think the Republicans were playing to lose.

The only reason Newt wants to be president at this point is that he wants to repeat Clinton's cigar trick with an intern.

Seriously, he was so upset that Clinton got to **** on interns in the privacy of the Oval Office while he was stuck cheating on his wife in an apartment a block away that he threw the greatest impeachment temper tantrum this great nation has ever seen.

Newt needs to get the nomination for one reason: The potential for political cartoon legends to be born is staggering!

You have a good point. Romney is so generic looking. The ed cartoons that featured him in the Boston papers always had to label him.

If by January whichever side the challenger is can't find a viable candidate, they should have the option of not running at all and just letting the incumbent continue. Seems ridiculous, and a ridiculous waste of money, to continue a farce like that.
