Well, to be fair, we are above you and tons of people forget their glasses when they rest them on top of their head instead of on a table or whatnot.

And your largest trading partner. Kind of have to wonder about his economic plans when he can't figure out where his largest trading partner is.

Doesn't the "AP" in APEC stand for "Asia Pacific"? Is there a transcript of this gaffe? Cause I'm going to guess (absent sound and 42 minutes to watch the whole video), that this was more about just using the wrong word/label than actually not knowing where Asia was? I get that we live in an age of gotcha politics, but that's pretty dumb. I don't care about whether a politician is a perfect speaker. I care about his policies and agenda.

I believe he said something like "Here in Asia..." while addressing the APEC in Hawaii.

I imagine it gets awkward managing to put "Asia-Pacific" into every sentence in a speech. Blame the speech writers, I suppose? Or... He starts out saying something like "here in ..." follows that with Asia, realizes that "here in Asia-Pacific" is moronically bad grammar, but its too late to change it to something like "here in the Asia-Pacific region/sphere/cube/whatever" and just leaves Pacific out. Again, in the grand scheme of things, this isn't a big deal.

For some.

Quote:
The GOP had better learn to fight fire with fire. To this day idiots likes lagaga, cat, elinda, joph, and co think quayle can't spell potato and that Palin doesn't know where russia is.

No. The GOP needs to show that it holds itself to a higher standard and cares more about substance and policies than playing word games. Let the Dems play the games and manipulate people. We'll win on the issues and honesty and all of the things that really matter once people stop laughing at the jokes and realize that it's not really that funny.

Just because you don't think attacking every little mistake barry makes is a good plan doesn't mean it won't work.

Lots of things "work" in politics. That doesn't make them good ideas. It's the same sort of "don't look past the surface layer" approach that got us Obama in the first place. I'd rather we present an alternative to that sort of low-stooping approach to politics. The reason the GOP has been gaining ground is because the people have realized that it takes more than a pretty face and a clever slogan to run the country and they are looking for real solutions to the real problems we're facing. If the GOP just gives them slogans and gotcha politics, they'll loose that ground.

It's really a good idea, it's just to bad none of the GOP politicians got that memo.

Well, you did go into hysterics about Obama bowing too low/high/whatever and decried it as the worse foreign policy blunder since Squanto said "Hey, I'll bring those hungry white guys some maize" so I wouldn't break my arm patting my own back if I were you.
