It's a bit more nuanced than that, as it happens. I take Vyvanse and I am actually much calmer on it than off of it. It's because of what ADHD does chemically in the brain that stimulants do what they do to people with ADHD. Trying to find an article so I don't have to retype an essay...
Oh, this guy is off-the-wall usually: pacing constantly, speaks a mile-a-minute. But he crashes; Vyvanse keeps him awake, alert, motivated, and focused. He also can't fall asleep on it and has zero appetite; it keeps him awake for the entire duration. He's already energetic, but it lets him concentrate. Sorry if I mistook what it did and just figured it was part of his symptoms though
