I know I'm now operating at the 1 post every 23 day level, and let me preemptively state that I care less about you not caring about what I've been doing than you care about what I've been doing. These are some things I've been doing.

Marrying Nexa.

Buying a new house. By "new" I mean we didn't own it until recently. I don't mean "new fangled" like one of them there houses insulated with some substance other than wood and heated with some strange devil's magic method that doesn't involve steam.

Working on what may be the longest 3 month contract in history. I should probably increase my daily rate to make up for inflation.

Reading the new Niel Stephenson book. I'm only about 12% in (thanks Kindle! Suck it, page numbers!) but so far so good, but a little less dense than I'm used to him from him, which could be good (I'm looking at YOU System of the World) or could be bad (Zodiac!)

Watching The Walking Dead with mild interest but mostly vague disappointment.

Patiently tracking prices of Hannah's Christmas gifts to maximize value since Nexa insists that "we're not spending a thousand dollars on gifts for her this year! Humbug!" She totally says humbug, too.

Remembering who knows we're married and who doesn't. I'm not great at this. Wait, you idiots knew, right?

Trying to figure out why they count from the end of a woman's last period to determine the due date when you impregnate one.

The hell?

Nexa asks that you not mention the fact that we're married or that she's knocked up on her Facebook page, if you are one of those people

Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

It seems to have a 1:1 ratio of good episodes to bad episodes. Last week's was pretty good. This weeks guest starring Dragon Age's Broodmother not so much.

Congratulations on the spawn.

For the record, I thought I (We?) already knew you were/getting married, but I was probably making assumptions due to your lack of presence.

Oh, and the whole married thing is really only a secret to a few people, but those people are somewhat sensitive so...yeah. Anyway, we got married a while ago but haven't gotten around to having a wedding, which we still plan on doing at some point when we're not doing other busier sorts of things and can actually pull something together.

And yes, everyone should drink for me, and I'll be appropriately jealous. I didn't have nearly this much fatigue or morning sickness with Hannah.

We went through the first season the other week. I share Smash's sentiment right now.

I feel like it's been getting the rave reviews mostly because an ongoing zombie TV drama fills a much desired void. But watching it, I just think that it doesn't do anything really interesting or new with the material. I've seen every scenario that they do already, and they don't come to any new conclusions, or show any interesting new angles with them. It's all just "okay".

How does season 2 stack up with the first?

I'm reading Reamde as well. It's pretty refreshing to have it not be quite so dense, following Anathem (which might be my favorite Stephenson novel).

I felt season one was pretty slow. Season two has been pretty break even like I said. The first episode was pretty good, the second not so much, third was good, and last night's again not so much. Personally I feel the good episodes far outweigh the bad episodes so overall the series is worth tuning in weekly.

You should just never tell her, go have the baby, bring it home and act like it's been there the whole time and Hannah's the one with the issues. Many lulz.

Dear Nexa and Smasharoo,

Congratulations on the legal joining and the little miracle of conception you've been blessed with. Never let the happy days slip from your line-of-sight.

I bet Hannah will be one helluva big sister.
