Or are they passee due to FB and Twitter?

Tonight: Taking Charmaine to her field hockey camp
Tomorrow: Ray and I have a date at one of the art museums so he can do one of his papers for his art class. Lots and lots of paperwork for me to do so I'll have a good block of time on my laptop on Saturday.
Sunday: Cussing out the Chargers probably.

Second weekend of having to work. PT test Saturday morning, and PT grading Sunday. I'd rather complete it with everyone else just for bragging rights, but whatever. Someone has to keep score, and in my field of work apparently only a few people can count past ten.

Is it - is this a weekday?

I've made three posts in three years on Twitter. Never really found the appeal.

Weekend plans are up in the air, but I suspect I will be cutting up quite a lot of downed trees. Might actually get started on that now since I don't have any work for this afternoon.

Tonight I'm heading to a friend's college for this nerdy a capella group. A capella's not really my thing, but they're doing stuff like Portal and Star Wars, and my friends I haven't seen in a while are there, so why not?

On Saturday I'll be donating plasma and platelets (AB+, so I'm a universal plasma donor).

The friday update threads tend to go in cycles. I don't know why. I suspect it has to do with the allignment of neptune and galactic cluster 428-sigma 3.

I've got a wedding to attend later today. Took the day off for the heck of it too, which has been nice. Gave me time to finish installing this little gem:

Screenshot

Which is a honeywell Prestige 2.0 programmable thermostat. It also has a remote control, so i can actually change the stupid thermostat settings from upstaris on those nights when the stupid thermostat insists on going on and off a billion times, keeping me up when it isn't rrealy needed.

Also this weekend i'll be finishing the Z axis for the limit switch mounting for the mill. I think I know what I am going to do now, which should make it easier. I also aquirewd a small sheet metal brake so I can make some enclosure panels for some of the exposed machinery that would be difficult to cover with bellows.

I like the cloud graphic on the bottom.

That's vancouver for you. It always rains everywhere here, especially indoors. You get used to it. Thats why people from vancouver all grow gills and webbed feet.

There is a module to attach the unit to my computer and phone. It's called the Redlink ternet Gateway, and costs $98. I don't own that piece of it yet, but its on the list to aquire. There is also a USB port on the bottom of the thing for backing up the internal configuration, and for uploading an installer logo if I wanted to do such a thing.

edit: Here's the remote:
Screenshot

and here's the outdoor temperature and humidity sensor
Screenshot

They also have additional indoor sensorss I can add if I wanted to average out the house temperature in different rooms, a humidifier control module if I wanted to install a humidifier (not that I need one with the huge *** fish tank in the house) and a few other toys. Installation was actually really easy. The only problem i had was the origional thermostat wasn't actually wired correctly, which given what I know about the history of the wiring in this house so far doesn't exactly suprise me. They never wired up the actual power lead to the old thermometer, so it was running constantly on the backup battery, which meant that the batteries were failing way faster than they should have been. I just figured the old design was an energy hog.

Once I do have the internet gateway part, I'll be able to control the temperature, in addition to the lighting and electronic controls I can already control via the smarthome modules I have installed. I can't open the door locks or anything yet though, mainly because I balk at paying brinks a monthly fee.

I still have a huge tupperware filled with ox tail stew (kare-kare) in my refrigerator. I need to eat it before it's wasted.

I love Twitter and FB and I'm starting to like Google+ more and more.

Oddly enough, I still have my MySpace page. Not active on it, but I'm waiting to see what Justin Timberlake decides to do with MySpace.

No plans this weekend as of right now. My step-daughter is coming over, so we'll probably just hang out and watch movies.

I also don't Twitter. I use FB and Google+. I have a Twitter account, but I think I may have logged in 2 or 3 times.

According to lolWiki, there's five different types of oxtail soup. Also, according to loWiki, it's "oxtail", not "ox tail".

The stuff we make is the beastly looking image on the top (no, not the "personal appeal" photo).

I had the Korean oxtail soup once, when we were at a Korean restaurant with no English on the menus and playing restaurant roulette. I lost hard - it was really salty. My husband won, since he got these amazing little rice sausages (soondae.)

I'm on it for the sole purpose of tracking our businesses. I tried signing up to Jim Irsay for updates on Manning earlier in the year for FF purposes, but he fucking tweets crap all day and it got annoying so I untwittered him.
