But yeah, that song sucks. It's like hipsters consolidated all their resources into a single song...

I'd never heard the song till I saw that video, though I have seen people posting the lyrics on Facebook all year. It makes a nice, subdued intro for an awesome bass drop.

"Pumped Up Kicks" gets used as bumper music on Michael Medved's conservative AM talk radio show. So now you know it's hip!

I know what you mean. I generally don't like anything by anyone who wasn't big before I was born.

My son is watching Nycan cat videos on Youtube, and in a fit of insanity I went and found a dubstep remix of Nyan Cat. Which does exist. So, yeah.

I don't think anything I've linked is trendy.... lol

Just the opposite. I generally listen to rare stuff. A lot of it would be considered poor quality but I've found some real gems (in my own opinion anyway) and I just really dig experiencing the history of it, even if it sucks.

Let me know what you all think of these guys - Noah and the Whale tiny desk concert?

This remains one of my favorite little work concerts - The Tallest Man on Earth. I've linked some of his stuff before.

Is there a reason why every post I make in this thread is being rated down? I usually don't comment on Karma - but this is getting ridiculous.

I'd love if one of the trolls could enlighten me here.

The people who rated you down in this thread aren't the ones who rated you down in others. I'd take a guess that people just thought it was a dumb topic more suitable to the OoT than the Asylum. This crew is more into the politics/religion/insanity topics than general "Here's the first thing that came to my mind, let's share it!" posts.

Now, if we changed it to something like "I hate hipsters/conservatives, their music sucks, f*ck OWS/the Tea Party," you'd probably get a few rate-ups Smiley: nod

With such strong, reasoned supporting arguments, who could disagree?!
