He was incompatible with the life saving apparatus. When questioned, Bill Gates had no comment.

Dammit, now getting a black turtleneck and being the Ghost of Steve Jobs for Halloween won't be quite as funny.

RIP Apple man

You know it was going to happen after the presentation of the 4s yesterday. Apple cashed in on his insurance to prevent profit loss.

He had pancreatic cancer. I'm amazed he managed to survive as long as he did.

Steve Jobs is the type of guy that you can honestly wonder how different our world, our tech world in this case, might be if he'd not been what he was and did what he did.

rip

I'm surprised at how affected by sadness I felt at learning he died. It's not really fair on the other Apple developers and workforce, but Steve Jobs is really the only face of Apple I knew of. I've got a lot of good will towards Mac operating systems and programs, and towards my iphone, and it seems to transfer back to affection towards Jobs. The obvious, corny and yet hilarious joke to me is the meme "iSad" going around. RIP tech phenomenon.

It seems to have worked for Magic Johnson.

Edit: also, wasn't that an episode of South Park?

Christ, my facebook is full of this already... oh well.

It's too bad he died, especially at only 56. He was revolutionary, but not a god; his leadership f*cked up Apple for years before they reinvented themselves with the iPad and iPhone (hence why they fired him before rehiring him). He learned from his mistakes and became a huge marketing force, and a wonderful story of someone who, with the right skills and a lot of effort, can succeed in today's market.

I've never used any Apple products and don't plan on it, but I respect him for what he did. He also gave some darn good speeches.

In related news, Westboro up to their usual ill-conceived shenanigans again.

No no, she said god created it, ergo Steve is god.

According to her they will be protesting god's funeral.

You assume they are speaking with some measure of logic behind their words, rather than the verbal diarrhea it ends up being.
