To believe a recent headline in the Daily Caller, Biden candidly admitted in a recent radio interview that the current administration is completely to blame for the current economic situation. A closer reading makes it sound more like he's actually stopping the buck and behaving like a responsible leader, but I'm sure Varus won't see it that way.

Anywho, the best part comes right at the end:

The Daily Caller wrote:
Biden did clarify that while the 2012 election is currently shaping up as a referendum on the Obama administration, “it’s soon going to be a choice.”

Whoa, slow down there, Joe! You're saying that the upcoming presidential election is going to be a referendum on the performance of the incumbent president? And that this election is "going to be a choice," presumably between that incumbent president and another candidate?

The keen political insight of the Vice President! Smiley: laugh

I love his "look" comments...

Biden needs a muzzle. He seems to have no concept of how his words might be misinterpreted or misused against him.

Biden wrote:
Even though fifty-some percent of the American people think that the economy tanked because of the last administration, that’s not relevant,” Biden stressed. “What’s relevant is we’re in charge. And right now we are the ones in charge and it’s gotten better, but it hasn’t gotten good enough.

The bold is absolutely correct, but it's also not meant to be taken as "We're the reason the economy tanked", which is what the article and I'm sure the pubbies who have latched on to the comments would have you believe.

It might be good for folks to hear that someone is willing to take ownership of the economic mess - even if it's just hyperbole.

I'm guessing though that these Biden remarks will have little impact on the Obama administrations approval ratings.

"Now, when you've got, see, great politicians doing great politics, well, lemme tell ya, that's great politics. But when you've got good politicians doing great politics, Pat, well see here, those good politicians, here in Washington, if they're doing that, well that's just great politics."

Has no one told Biden to "Never speak, not even once" yet?

The bold is absolutely correct[...]

Please give me one single measure of economic performance that is better today than when the President took office.
