Noah will sometimes spend hours on Youtube looking up video game cheats and hacks. Or watching the walkthru's. Ah well.

But it's really not just kids that do it. My husband is like that. Resets games if he's not doing well, looks up cheat codes (he's the one that taught Noah, haha), and he's also one of those that will sneak to find presents before Christmas.

I live with 2 kids, not a husband and a kid.

WE MUST HAVE INSTANT GRATIFICATION!!

I dunno, some of it just so terribly designed (I play a lot of older games) that there isn't any intelligence in figuring it out - it is just an endless waste of time (going to every city in the game and retalking to every npc), and not a puzzle at all.

For games with genuine, well designed puzzles (Legend of Zelda), I will spend more time on it, but when I am supposed to figure out where to go next based on nothing but some vague npc text, I would often just rather get the answer, versus annoying myself.

I typically don't hit the FAQs unless I absolutely have to (after 2-3 hours of standstill on a puzzle, it's usually pretty indicative that I won't get through it without outside help). Even then, it's more about trying to preserve my interest and enjoyment of the rest of the game, rather than an apathy about being able to solve it myself.

I'd never spoil the plot of a game I wanted to play through to the finish. That's just silly.

Lately I've been making it a point to avoid metagaming. I let the characters that I accidentally got killed in Mass Effect 2 stay dead. I don't powerlevel or min/max. I don't do sidequests unless they hold my interest.

I think it makes for a better experience pretty often.

The thing that stumped me for weeks, possibly months, was the "folded pile of plastic." We tried everything on that.

Xavier is all about cheats and stuff. Drives me nuts
let's see... this week I started a new routine of swimming for 45+ minutes a day, taking in 1400 calories, and daring my body to hold onto the weight. My body hates me right now but damned if Im going to let it win. Tomorrow I plan on hitting the gym then saving up my caloric intake for wine
otherwise a chill weekend. Xavier starts vacation next wed so I'll prepare myself to play referee to 3 kids for the next 3 weeks by purchasing mass quantities of colored duct tape. Either that or ship them off to grandmas

Nope. I'm not exactly the "produce market type" though.

No real plans here. Probably just sorting through stuff, packing stuff, throwing away stuff. I like the place we're moving to, I just hate the process.

Holy crap, I hate amateur bar bands. Especially when they're older and playing my music (60s-70s rock) and it's just...painful to listen to.

Get up and sing Free Bird, kao, and post a video of it.

Actually, I have no idea, how I did that an hour apart. Guess it's just flakiness on my phone's part.

I think what happened was I posted, but when it refreshed, it stalled and I put my phone down. Next time I picked it up, it showed a blank page and not remembering what it was I hit refresh and it reposted the data.
