Floyd was '99, that's the biggest thing I remember.
Up here the yard, which I've been working on re-seeding all summer is completely flooded, so there goes that project. As of 11:30am it's still pouring rain. Haven't seen any damage yet, though. The power flickered for a few seconds about an hour ago but that's all.

Jonwin and I won't be online for awhile, as we wait for the power to be turned back on. My daughters came to get me out of the house where I was going nuts not able to do anything about the downed trees in our backyard. Right now I'm eating fries at McDonald's and using my daughters laptop.
We may be able to get trees cut and cleared from yard tomorrow, but not sure when power will get restored.

I got stranded at my Hotel in downtown Boston from Saturday night until I left this morning due to the T being closed. Granted, I was only working for 22 of the 32 hours I was there (They let me sleep awhile!), but being at work for a day & a half away from the fiance whom spent the hurricane on the Cape sucked Gbaji-balls.

My yard and road and driveway are covered in debris. We're still without power. It was mostly just heavy rain and heavy wind though, so the thick wooded areas took a beating. It's kind of weird when I watch the news and see the folks in the nearby city/town getting on as if nothing's amiss while I'm cowering in my house feeling as if I'm in a warzone.
With all the leaves that have already been stripped from the trees, I'm anticipating a light raking season.

It's a mixed bag, but they don't call them Vermonsters for nothing. We used to snowboard up there every winter, and there's definitely some hostility among the locals towards ski tourism. It's a bit ridiculous, considering that the tourism is basically the only thing bringing any livelihood to a lot of areas there.
