I got stranded at my Hotel in downtown Boston from Saturday night until I left this morning due to the T being closed. Granted, I was only working for 22 of the 32 hours I was there (They let me sleep awhile!), but being at work for a day & a half away from the fiance whom spent the hurricane on the Cape sucked Gbaji-balls.
However, when I got off work around 11:30am, during the height of the storm, I ventured out for lunch. It was pretty wild out there, especially in the "wind tunnel" by the Hancock Tower. See, it's always windy there. Like, clear skies & a slight breeze until you walk around a corner & get hit with 35mph winds windy. Yesterday, those wind gusts were topping 70mph, so of course
scooterdude was out there being his crazy self.
Since I was the bartender at Rattlesnake's first hurricane buddy, I gots a free beer. After a yummy prime rib po' boy (with au jos) & a couple of stella's, I braved the wind again (most of the rain came before the wind), went back to the hotel & tried to sleep before going back to work again for the overnight.
I was only about half successful with the sleeping, unfortunately.
