wtf lagaga, it's not racist if they actually dress like that! And just because the white kids call each other wigger doesn't mean you should be offended by it (but it would be totally offensive if the black kids called them that)!

You still haven't answered if you think Obama should take over this matter from the lower tiers of government.

Erm, states have their own national guards. So the federal government should take control there? Have these municipalities asked for federal assistance? Your opinion is that the federal government should just take over regardless?

Interesting.

So, again, who decides when it's time for the federal government to step in and take control from the state and local governments who haven't requested help?

I like how one minute varus whines about the government taking things away from him, and the next demands that the government take things away, and in both instances has no intentions of actually doing anything about either.

How about when the deputy mayor for public safety admits the local municipalities are inequiped to deal with the situation.

So when a local "deputy mayor for public safety" says that, the federal government should leapfrog the local and state governments and seize control of the situation?

I'm just asking if you think this is correct or not.

You sure didn't have a problem...

I'm not asking about me. I'm asking if you think the federal government should seize control over the lower tiers of government when a "deputy mayor for public safety" says things are hard whether they actually ask the federal government for assistance or not.

No, that should be addressed locally, considering that it's, you know, a local issue.

Not sure why you're so keen on getting the federal government involved at the local level. I guess your partisan douchebaggery supersedes political ideology.

Do you even watch TV news? I am not sure what it is like on America, but the Prime minister... I can't ever once remember talking about any specific crime, unless maybe it was a bill inspired by a particular case, but even thinking on it I can only remember provicial politians doing things like that.

I think when some terror suspects were arrested in Toronto the PM might have said something.

I think your term "race riots" is part of the problem here. I think what is going on in London - that's riots. We had a riot in Vancouver this year as well, but are what you are talking about riots? Are storefronts being burnt down? Are people looting?

I think the president would comment if that were the case, unless it is so widespread it is like incidences of cats getting hit by cars, but if that is the case, well, wow. I don't know where you get the idea that politicians can cover up stories - if the media wants to talk about things - then politicians will answer.

They can't help it. It is possible to avoid minor issues, but if the media wants blood on a story, they will get it; they can't avoid it. Most politicians will comment just to manage the message.
