Ah, i see. Well, he is the Commander in Chief, and if it had gone badly, I am sure he would have bore the brunt of the blame. Take the good with the bad, right?
If it had gone badly, you wouldn't have heard about it, so not really.
US action re: Pakistan is leagues different than it was prior to Obama taking office. About the only thing they were good for previously was taking billions of dollars in US aid while selling nuclear secrets to Iran and N. Korea.
And had he taken some of the credit for that, I wouldn't have blamed him. But making pakistan a better place, and the military killing someone in Pakistan, aren't necessarily causally related. Until I hear something to suggest otherwise, I'm saying that that was just purely overblown **** for 2012.
If I was Obama's speech writer, I would have painted a picture like this
(Note: Bruce Willis is Obama and the priest is an adorable little white girl with red hair in pigtails).
The people who would be **** themselves into oblivion if Bush had been president when this happened will now come out and say Obama is giving himself too much credit. Case in point, ThiefX.
Well... they're right. I mean, I think Obama's sunshine compared to Bush (who I really, really hated), and I'm not conservative or Republican, but I was listening to that speech and thinking "Dude, stop telling me everything you 'did'." Edited, May 2nd 2011 12:22am by idiggory
