Baseball season?
It is America's game, which would make one unAmerican to not watch it.

That reminds me, there's a free Renegades/Army game at Dutchess Stadium tonight, may take the boy to go see it. Minor league ball is the bestest!

Since when is a son with the exact name as his father called “Barack Hussein Obama II”? He should be referred to as Junior. Not only is this a fake, but the people doing the faking are clueless and stupid. African is not a race.

And now remarks from the standard bearers of the Birther movement!
Politico wrote:
Phil Berg, who filed one of the original birther lawsuits, now believes that Obama was adopted by his Indonesian father and lost his U.S. citizenship:

"I think the issue is that he's not any more natural born. I don't care if he releases his birth certificate or whatever," said Berg. "Let's see his records coming back through immigration."

Orly Taitz, once called 'Queen of the birthers' and who was responsible for a number of lawsuits, is verifying the document's authenticity and now believes that the president is using a false social security number.

"In Obama's Selective Service [document], his social security is listed as a Connecticut Social Security number," said Taitz, who has tried to have forgeries introduced into court filings before.

"If Obama would ONLY release this, the whole thing would just GO AWAY!"

When will people like Gbaji finally admit that this was never about "the truth", it's all about pathology?

The world's best identity theft. I still haven't ruled out the possibility that we are all just being punked by Obama and Ashton.

I saw that, again I live in Britain so I don't really care either way, but that pic looks shopped to me.

The one I linked to ("Link") is off the whitehouse.gov site.

The one you're showing doesn't match it and is fake.

Edit: Just looked harder at it and, yeah, it's just some Birther's wet dream of what it should look like. Look at the bottom there it says he was born in Kenya "per grandmother".

Yeah, they can't read either. That's obviously the section for the information on his father. Father born in Kenya, Jr. born in Hawaii, grandmother was asked about Obama and thought of Sr. first instead of Jr. End of thread.

You might want to read it again. 7 lines above that is information for the father. The line in question says "Evidence for delayed filing or alteration" Not looking too deeply into it, but this appears to be almost the exact document he released in the past.

My bad, I didn't even notice that line; I was just looking at the Kenya part.

Nobody is raising an eyebrow at falsified documents (never mind that it's on a ******* insane website) and letting these crazies wave this around?
It's one thing to shop a coupon but faking an influential document like this would surely bring some heat down on the faker, I'd think.
Unless a lawsuit would force Obama to release the REAL documents that show he's a transgendered Inuit who never was born.
OMG, I think they're onto something. (or on something)

It seems the argument has shifted from "Not born in the US!" to "Father wasn't a US citizen, doesn't count as natural born!" I can't find any Supreme Court cases that agree with that, instead I find the opposite in US v. Wong Kim Ark (1898), where they said "Well, the Constitution doesn't say what it means, so we'll go with the English version: if you were born in the country, you're a citizen, nevermind what your parents were." It was consistent with the 14th amendment, although it doesn't mention natural-born in it.

Seems the only people arguing now are ones who don't believe in judicial review yet ironically need to reinterpret the Constitution in order to make an argument stick.

Having a nice conversation with my cousin about it. Her first point was "why did it take so long? Something's not right! If it could have been this simple, why didn't he end it before?" To which I pointed out the legally required document was made available to the public at large in 2008. She didn't accept it then, she doesn't accept the long version now. There's literally no way to get her to look at reason.

I also asked if I could call her an After-Birther. Obviously the conversation had deteriorated from there. I've enjoyed it Smiley: nod

Ironically, Trump's TV ratings have been bombing since he joined up with the Birthers.
The Atlantic wrote:
But while Trump has gotten plenty of airtime by suggesting, wrongly, that the president was not born in the United States, Nielsen rating for "Celebrity Apprentice" are lower than they were a year ago -- and dropping fast. One reason Trump's audience is abandoning him may be that, according to demographic research of primetime television viewers provided exclusively to The Atlantic by National Media Inc., a firm that places political ads on television, the audience for "Celebrity Apprentice" is among the most liberal in primetime television (see graphic above). Rather than add viewers, Trump foolishly appears to be driving them away.

The article is worth checking out just for the viewership graph which is kind of interesting.

If there's one thing Trump knows about, it's how to run a business into the ground. Then file bankruptcy. Then run it into the ground again. Then file for bankruptcy again. Then run it into the ground again. Then file for bankruptcy...

Another entry for the "But if he ONLY showed this, this whole thing would go away!!" file:
Atlantic wrote:
An aide to Texas state Rep. Leo Berman, who introduced a bill requiring presidential candidates to produce a birth certificate is not convinced. "What I've seen online, what they produced today, still says certificate of live birth across the top," legislative director Sharon Guthrie told Slate's Dave Weigel. "We want to see a 'birth certificate.' The one that we have that says 'birth certificate' is from Mombassa, Kenya, with his footprint on it. He has still not produced an American birth certificate."

Pathological.

What I have said consistently on this subject is that with said release, the only people who will care are the fringe crazies, who can safely be ignored (well, except by liberals who go seeking them out in order to make it seem like they speak for the rest of us). My issue, and the issue most people had with this, was the lack of any sort of legal process for making the determination. That process still hasn't been ironed out, but at least he finally did the right thing.

I found it amusing though that Obama pretended like he didn't understand why people ever made such a big deal out of this in the first place. To me, it's like the jerk who is asked for ID at a bar, and presents a library card, then a temporary license paper, then says that he's got a friend who can vouch for him, and then after an hour of this he finally pulls out his wallet and shows his ID and wonders why the bartender made such a big deal out of it. Um... Because you're being a jerk and no one else thought it was funny? Sigh...
