Makes more sense than Passover leftovers.

We went out for brunch as we do every year.

Though neither of us is religious, my girlfriend bought me a ton of chocolate for easter (cookies & cream bars, and milk and white chocolate truffles). Unable to demonstrate even the slightest bit of restraint, I ate 4 of the bars and downed 1-3/4 bags of truffles in a day and a half.

Don't know what kind of glaze. Easter was at my brother's house this year, and I saw him putting some kind of glaze on it. Yummy is all I know. They had two hams, but as it turned out one of my cousins was sick (when a 6 year old doesn't want to eat candy you know he's sick!), so that whole part of the family stayed home, meaning there was an abundance of ham (and I got me a goodie bag of the stuff).

Also for the record, my brother's bulldog failed to leave marks on my leg, but he tried really really hard.

For the first time ever we didnt celebrate Easter in the least. No decorations, no baskets, eggs, cards over-extended family or feeling funny about sponging another holiday off the Christians. I didn't even call Dad (oops).

I did make waffles, with some of my freshly made raspberry compote & whipped cream, fat bacon and fruit salad for breakfast for me, myself the hubby and my one kid that's still sponging off us.

I played Lotro with my daughter last night and think I said something to the effect of 'happy easter' to her.

We're having leftover Easter Chinese takeout tonight!

That ham sounds good though. I love ham sandwiches made over from leftover ham dinners.

Easter for me is just another excuse to hangout with the family, but it's a family that I really love being around. When we were younger holidays were pretty much playing football, nerf gun wars, and golden eye. Now that we are vastly more mature they tend to involve napkin races, lemon eating contests, assassin, and "is this milk or is this cream?" Not quite what I imagined adulthood would be.

(It took us maybe 15-20 minutes to figure out it was half and half >.<)

How does one race a napkin? In my experience they tend to be rather inert.

It's far more clever than any of the above three. Place a napkin folded into quarters on the table. Pick it up by the topmost layer so that it opens forming a conical shape. Place said cone upon your head. Run as fast as you can without it falling off.

Due to the subject I thought maybe gbaji had gotten a cat.

I spent Easter at my mom's with Thom...and my brother and his family (including twin almost-three-year-olds), my sister with her one year old twins, and my other sister and her Filipino husband. We had two buffet meals (Oriental on Saturday, and Italian/traditional Easter on Sunday) and ate at my mother-in-law's diner on the way home. Very full weekend.

I also tried to find a replacement hard drive for my sister's dead laptop on Sunday, but considering the day Wal-Mart was the only thing open and they don't have a very extensive selection of hardware.

You forgot the mint jelly. My mom wouldn't serve lamb unless she could find real mint jelly. (not mint flavor apple jelly)

Easter requires an authentic Polish lamb cake from a real Polish bakery, and not the hellish abominations they sell in the grocery stores.

Also the little lamb shaped butter.
