The funny thing about the accusations of "going off the rails" is, it's almost always in response to a comment that someone else says. Example (may not be accurate in facts, just an example)
Me: Android phones are better than iPhones.
X: No, iPhones are better than Andriod phones.
Me: Andriods have an open sourced market
X: Well, Linux is open source and it's better than Windows OS
Me: Well everything supports Windows OS
X:Yea, because of that Windows are more prone for viruses and stuff
Me: Well that's why I use FireFox with NoScript and Adblock
X: Google Chrome is so much better
Me: I just got accustomed to FireFox and don't feel like changing

Not the best example, but the point is, I'm not just throwing random crap out there. If you bring up a statement, then I will usually argue it back.
