Why do you think he's a great candidate?

Why do you believe he has a unifying message? (ie: what specifically does his message say that seems "unifying"?).

What good ideas does he have?

Congratulations, I suppose this makes you a far superior person than myself.

However, it's connotation, by the way. Just saying, since we're on the subject of "grammatical coherence". I was willing to overlook that for a while, though.

With that said, my use of "incredible", while perhaps not the best choice of words to convey my ideas (I should have simply said "extraordinary" and have saved myself this trouble); it was certainly not incorrect, especially to the point that it somehow invalidates my ideas. That's pretty much the end of it, as far as I'm concerned.

Yes. But to call people idiots for using words incorrectly on an internet forum when it is abundantly clear what they meant is pointless snobbery.

I know a lot of people in the US who insist that it's improper to ever eat any food with the fork in the left hand, even to the point of requiring one to switch knife and fork around when eating meat. Also, I ignored gbaji for the most part. It's not because I do not know how to argue on Obama's behalf, as I extensively researched the candidates and the issues before I came to a decision. I don't feel I have to defend my stance at this time, especially when I must say I felt that he was just trying to pick a fight.

Well, I have read enough of the arguments that have transpired here to know I would not want to get in that sort of debate with gbaji; most definitely not this evening when I have a lot of work to do.

You can just flip on a Will & Grace rerun and watch them sling "gay people are flamboyant" jokes. It's the same level of intellectual satisfaction you'd get from said debate.

Don't worry gbaji, I made an educated decision before casting my vote. :) I'll continue to keep track of the candidates as the election progresses, and make changes in my decision if the situation warrants it. Thanks for your concern, though.

Yes. Why exactly would that surprise you? His positions and past actions fit very well with my own views. It's not like Romney supporters were passing out from his dreaminess or something...


My concern is that it seems as though Obama supporters as a group tend to support him because of who he is and not his actual platform. He is more like a charismatic messiah figure to them, and less a politician with real positions on real issues. So yeah. I'm going to point this out when it's appropriate to do so.
