Gee. Smash. You're predicting that if someone wins both they are "likely" to win?

I'm stating that EVERY person who has EVER won both has ALWAYS won, skippy.

Anyway, we're done conversing. Your prop services aren't needed at the moment as there are people who's opinions matter to me more than those of Velvita posting.

I wish. I don't know if she'll get the chance to, frankly. Edwards will run for President until he's one step from the grave, but I don't know if she'll live to see it. It warms my heart to look at them, though. A good marriage.

I'd love it if Obama asked him to be his Veep. I'd be all over that, not to mention it would nicely preserve my matrimonial harmony.

I think everyone here knows that this race doesn't seal anything. For that matter, I'd lay odds that most of the posters in this thread would willfully vote for either Democratic frontrunner if they win their party's ticket.

We're just watching the numbers, rooting for our guy and all that. So stop worrying about it, Gbaji.

I'm not worried at all. Just amused. I knew over a year ago that Clinton would win the Dem nomination. All of this hoopla about Obama is fun and all, and I suppose it makes the people think they've got a voice in the decision or something, but she's been so clearly the heir-apparent that barring her doing something incredibly stupid and pissing off the powers that be, she'll win.

She's been playing for the long term win from day one. Obama's been playing to make a good showing in the first couple rounds hoping that would spring him within reach. The only thing that happened here is that the Clinton camp didn't like the loudness of the press after Obama's win in Iowa so they turned on the ol election machinery (in the form of briefcases stuffed with cash) and made sure to stomp him down a bit here so that he wouldn't get too uppity.

The 2nd/3rd tier candidates always do well in Iowa and New Hampshire. Because they know that their only chance is to win there and hope that brings in attention and funds to allow them to continue. The leader doesn't have to do that. Clinton could have just ignored NH if she'd wanted to, but presumably figured she'd play it safe. She could have won Iowa if she'd wanted to as well, but it serves her long term purposes better to spread the money around rather then blowing it on the early primary season. She's still got a lot of pockets to fill...

Added them to what?

You quoted my post and replied to it, wrongly, as usual. Really nothing to see here that you don't see here every day.

You replied to mine wrong first! I never mentioned Iowa...

That about the same time you knew the GOP would win the Senate?

Neat.

Mrs. Clinton is just who Gbaji wants to win. He probably thinks we're all being traditional idealistic liberals by throwing in with Obama.

That very well may be true, & we may very well end up as disappointed with Obama as we ended up with Dean.

But either way, our nominee is going to beat the **** out of his, so who cares?

I guess. I'm fine with being wrong on occasion. I don't have some bizarre mental illness that prevents me from being able to deal with it.

/shrug.

You are correct, Muskie won both and lost the nomination 35 years ago.
