I have a morbid fear of spiders. I think it goes back to when I was about 9 years old and I stepped on a spider and about a billion little tiny baby spiders crawled out all over my foot and up my leg.

I actually like snakes. They're beautiful and clean and rather fascinating.

Spiders, on the other hand, will send me into hysterics. I dare anyone to grow up in a house where these like to creep out and say "hello" and not wind up a bit arachnaphobic.

full agreement. I had those little basta[Aliceblue][/Aliceblue]rds living in my basement when I was a kid. I love snakes but spiders I will run screaming from

You can tell wehn they are looking at you. (the big ones at least)
I remember being in the basement with my father. He was a pretty butch fellow. There was a wolf spider on the wall. It was large enough that I could see the light reflecting from his 8 eyes, like a dog or cat's.

Dad looked over to the big hairy devil, reached out and calmly squashed it with his palm. /heebie jeebies

I love spiders, since hey eat flies. Growing up near swampy woodlands, gnats, houseflies and mosquitoes were always problematic, so anything that helped keep them away was appreciated, no matter how many eyes or legs were present.

One of my old roommates had spiders as pets. The first one died and the tank was empty, so when a friend found a big-*** wolf spider in the kitchen he put it in the tank as a pet. I named it Boris and that was the one I accidentally fed to the feeder crickets.

I swear, there is but one thing on Allah's green Earth that freaks me out irrational-like, and it's any sort of spider. I don't have any horrifying childhhod tale to share, but man, they are creepy little fu[red][/red]ckers. The tiniest little eight legged devil-thing finds it's way on to my person and I go all watussi.

Happy vaginal or cesarian gatekeeper day! Or even you adopted freaks, I s'pose.

I also hate spiders. Just reading this last part of the thread has given me goose bumps.
