That's right, today is Mother's Day in Mexico, and my staff celebrated my mother hen admin-style by giving me roses. Almost makes up for the fact that I have no babies.

I did remember to buy something online to send my mother back in VA, and now I have to think of what my future mom-in-law wants.

What are you mommies doing for your Special Day?

Taking a four hour bus ride back from Boston! Woot! Smiley: laugh

Of course, this being the longest I've ever been away from my baby, the rest of the eveing will consist of much cuddling...whether she likes it or not!

My mom is going to the track for Mother's Day! Smiley: laugh

Actually, her and my sister are both into horses and used to own a couple. So on Mother's Day we often hit up the track and watch the ponies for a day. Of course this year I'll be in Boston so no $2 bets on horses with funny names for me.

You're trying to tell me no one is getting a keepsake heart necklace from Kay's and a tearful thanks from your hubby for the gift of life? I've been misled! Smiley: mad

My husband is watching the baby all by himself all weekend so I can run off to Boston to hang out with a bunch of people I've never met...and he might be crying by the time I get back. Does that count?

If you gave the gift of life to your husband, your relationships have greater issues than the lack of a keepsake necklace.

It'll be pretty much like any other day for me, except the hubby might cook me dinner or something.

Dammit, Mother's Day is coming up? I'm going to have to drop some hints to the husband and kids.

And I'm going to have to go online and order something for my mother and grandmother.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, AtomicFlea, for making this post to remind me that Mother's Day is this Sunday. I'm horrible about remembering things, especially when they don't pertain directly to me. Looks like I've got some flowers to order. Smiley: flowers

Mother's Day? Hm...last week I sent my mom a Thank You card with a check to cover the money we borrowed, plus hefty interest...that's close enough for me. I'll just get her on AIM to say Happy Mom's Day.

I'd think that Mother's Day does pertain directly to you, else you wouldn't be!

Ordered flowers from Pro Flowers for mine and hubby's mums. They had a ton of things to choose from. Should arrive either Thursday or Friday. Much easier than going out and buying a card and all that junk. Whip out the credit card and voila!

That *was* the purpose. We were all sitting around, chatting, and were thinking of horrible things to do to you and just couldn't wait until Boston!

Soooo, on a totally unrelated subject Yan...which is worse, snakes or spiders? No reason, just curious.

I actually like snakes. They're beautiful and clean and rather fascinating.

Spiders, on the other hand, will send me into hysterics. I dare anyone to grow up in a house where these like to creep out and say "hello" and not wind up a bit arachnaphobic.
