It's Snowing!Follow

Or at least that's how it looks.

Today ushered in the first "Flight of the Dandelion" in my area. A walk outside will be greeted with a face full of fluffy flower seeds. As the day wears on it will gather in clumps across all the lawns in town much to the dismay of our local geriatrics.

For lack of a valid form of measurement, I'd guess there's ~3-5 floating seed pods per cubic meter. It might not sound like a lot but the damn things are everywhere.

In marginally related news, I used to eat dandelions when I was a kid.

They fly up your nose when you are driving and can kill.


We just have oodles of pollen all over. In the vents of my car, windows, house. I am not allergic but that stuff gets into your eyes and feels like cement when you blink.

Not to mention my black jetta looks like a bumblebee

Herbicide! buy it before everything turns yellow!

Ive been given 3 danilion bouquets this week from my son. While I find it very adorable, I also cringe knowing they're coming from my lawn

Gotta love them pussywillows.
