It's most likely NWS. It was a video of a woman in high heels killing a black lab puppy by stilettoing it to death. I couldnt even get through 1/3 of it before my throat started closing up

Sorry hun. Same with me. After I posted that last night, I got 2 phone calls from a couple of family members and then when I logged onto MySpace this morning, I had like 20 messages from people that said thanks for ruining their day. I guess I should have given a warning in the bulletin.

I'll buy ya a drink in Boston, k?

Wait, I'm not going to Boston! Here's a raincheck. Smiley: grin

yeah a little warning would have helped a lot. All I can think of was thank Bob the little one was not in the room when I opened that. I would have had a lot of explaining to do on something I dont even want to fathom.

This reminds me of those Faces of Death movies that became all the rage back when I was an early teen. I recall watching one of them, and being struck by the comical nature of most of the scenes.

The man who acccidentally parachutes into the alligator farm, and how his leg was ripped off as the beasts submerged him. The farm owner and son off to the side, apparently rolling film.

"Oh ****, paw, lookit what they done did to him!"

The man who blows his head off in front a group of bystanders and television cameras. Chuckles all around at the death of man.

But then there was the scene that showed puppies being gutted and prepared for dinner, and I had to turn the tape off. That image still haunts me.

Isn't it neat how it's easier to observe a human being mangled by alligators or putting a bullet through their head than it is to watch the day-to-day goings on behind the scenes at a restaurant in Vietnam?

Same exact thing with me. I think there was 4 in the series. I watched all of them but when the puppies came up the tape went off and I never watched any of them again.

I think it has to do with the fact that when people knowingly and intentionally do things where they know they will end up maimed or dead, people can generally watch that. Those folks knew what the consequences were.

When it comes to defenseless animals, who don't have a choice of being hurt, that's when the objections start.

I hate those myspace forwards (but I still love you Thumb!). They all have petitions for one thing or another, as if that's going to somehow solve something like the problem with crush videos that are being made in China.

bbbbut this one didnt even have a petition!! It was just a really really awful vid of someone deliberately killing a puppy. Now, it takes a lot to get me distressed, so the fact I couldnt even watch this after a minute says something

well there was a list of people underneath getting forwarded with something to the effect of "this is horrible and must stop" or something written by each of them...as though it was going to help. If people want to help, then when they start a forward like that, they could at least have a number or website of some relevance with which to complain. Sorry Thumb, this really isn't meant to pick on you, I'm sure you had the best of intentions.

I know, Nexa, instead of doing the Petition thing, I actually forwarded the video link to the FBI and the ASPCA. I already deleted the bulletin.
