Lots of things don't affect me personally. I still manage to approve or disapprove of them.
Extreme example so don't waste my time saying "OMG you compared X to Y!" but if Allakhazam was bought by a company that also financed Palestinian suicide bombers, I'd be upset despite the fact that my life will probably never be notably affected by such a person.
Considerably more upset than I am about this, of course. But the point holds true.

At the end of the day though, it was Alla's site to do with as he pleases despite the uproar from the general public. People don't like it, leave, cancel your premium. Don't continue to post and keep paying premium if you are so against what has happened. I am against what happened as well but I also understand that it was Alla's call to make and nobody else's.
Apparently there is a buzz about whether the Asylum is gonna survive the revamp.

"How does it affect me directly", would have been more appropriate because it does indeed affect me personally. I had faith that there was still some truth in one's word.
I have been coming to this site for nearly 4 years. Even when my present game of choice, EQ2, was pushed to the side I still decided to visit this site for the community and the fact that Alla stood above all the corporate bullsh[/blue]it out there. Today, he proved me wrong.
I guess this falls under the "it's the principle of the matter" category. Yes, it is his site and he can do as he pleases. Yes, I am happy for him personally because he has a chance to expand upon a business venture that he and the others have poured their heart and soul into for the past five years. However, throughout that 5 year period he swore up and down that there would never be gold/plat/gil sellers on this site. While we still might not see that here, Alla is still associated with them now.
I never said I would leave or that I am boycotting this site. I will not, though, be sending another dime to Alla knowing full well he now "supports", directly or indirectly, the very virus he spent 5 years fending off.
So yeah. Maybe I am a fu[blue]cking cnut. But I am going to make sure my and other's opinions are seen.
