If I had to go out in an execution, I'd want something like that to happen. Something memorable. I don't want to die with a whimper, emptying my bowels in a prison diaper. I want to wake up from the dead and say "WTF?! DAT ALL U GOT BISH?"

I want my death to make CNN.com...

I don't understand the lack of testicular fortitude a man has to have to be executed by the state.

If I ever get put in the situation, I'm taking a few of those gun toting, jack-booted thugs with me. 187 on a ATF!!!!

I'm as anti-capitla punishemnet as can be, but really, who cares about how painfull the act itself it is. Just go back to crucifying people on public roads. It's a deterrent, right? Well, let's get all we can out of it then.

The problem with capital punishment isn't that we cause pain to a guilty person being executed, it's that we might and very very likely allready have numerous times, EXECUTE AN INNOCENT PERSON.

I prefer hangings myself. I mean, look at it. Back in the day a hanging was a big social event. Everyone got to gather at the local park, and have a nice picnic. Everyone dressed in their Sunday best, kids playing stick ball, young single women flirting and looking for potential suitors. Then in the middle of all this a grim preacher and a few guards lead a prisoner out to the stage, and after a few words and a brief prayer... SNAP!

Fun for the whole community!

Well, the Supreme Court is taking time out to look at it, so maybe some changes will be pending. It seems that at least some of the trouble is a shortage of medically trained excecution personnel.

Why not use these death-row people for scientific experiments? That way no animals are tested on, and we get better, more complete data. Three people who were going to die anyways, died, but now we all get medicine that can eliminate aids, or cancer, or herpes.

Or perhaps even ghonnaherpasyphilaids.
