He can just wait till Democrats take back the house. Once people actually hear what the Democrats want to do Bush's popularity will rise automatically simply in protest. By the way, I completely support the Democrat's position - heck I'd go further.

Moe: It's pretty easy to make the economy go by spending thousands of dollars per person per year more then you take in. Economists dislike defecits. They dislike them a lot: http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/survey/2005-03-21-deficit-threat-nabe_x.htm?POE=NEWISVA

Eventually the US taxpayer is going to pay for the Iraq war, the tax cuts, with interest. At that point I'm not so sure the war on drugs, the war in Iraq, the huge tax breaks of Reagan and Bush will seem wise (or even seem like conservative policies).

Bush virtually never admits error. His largest error was thinking he could actually do the job - oh wait, he isn't. His second biggest error was thinking if he just picked "good" people they could do his job for him. His third biggest error (which easily could have made up for 1 and 2) was not listening to the good people he did have on board.

Doesn't he wish! icon

Who says Bin Laudin was ever alive during the 9/11 attacks anyways? He could have been dead since the 80's..... And all we're seeing is old video footage to help the propaganda in supporting the war...

Well, the tapes that have been released in the last couple of years with OBL's voice on them, citing current events and what not, have been authenticated by people who know these things. /shrug

Anything's possible, of course.

Or, alternatively: It's pretty easy to generate a surplus when you tax thousands of dollars per person per year more then you have to. Economies dislike taxes. They dislike them alot...

I really think this whole issue specifically is pure rhetoric. A bunch of Liberal editorialists wrote about what they thought "mission accomplished" should mean, and 3 years later, their interpretation turned out to be wrong. Um... We're still contrasting one side's belief about how things should be with that same sides belief that the other side didn't do things the way they wanted them to be done.

The very speach that Bush gave while in front of that banner said we'd be in Iraq for a long time and that it would require much sacrifice and patience. Apparently, the folks who interpreted the meaning of that speach didn't listen to those parts...
