3. You booted Yanari for no reason.

While I've already said I handled it badly, I definitely had reasons - maybe you didn't agree with the reasons, but the reasons were valid. Her constant ragging on the guild tabard, her disdain for not wanting to wear it - ok, that was her choice. It was not my first choice either - but I felt she was hurting the guild's morale - making those who were proud to wear the guild tabard feel like sh*t. The only thing that mattered to Yanari was Yanari. She was unapologetic to the end and said whatever she felt like. I had 3 or 4 discussions with her trying to work things out. After the 3rd discussion, I thought the issue was behind us. She wouldn't let it lie, and when she wouldn't meet me halfway, I said ***** it, she's not worth keeping in the guild with that abysmal attitude. Again, I should have done it in a different manner, or had someone to mediate the situation.
I believe I did apologize for not realizing you were the guild leader.

Nice try at projecting your inability to let this drop onto me. Here's how I remember it. You finished all your written communication to me with a threat. When I sent you a note saying I'd forwarded some gifts you had given me to another guildie, very politely explaining I was uncomfortable receiving gifts from you, you responded to that letter with yet more threats.

You're right. I didn't let that drop. My original purpose in asking to chat with you was to allay some hostilities. Not long into the chat, I knew that you wouldn't accept that. As the conversation progressed you tried browbeating me into submission ever more insistantly. I don't like being bullied.

Your reasons for ejecting me from the guild have nothing to do with my jibes at the guild tabard, or my disrespectful tone with you in guild chat.

You kicked me out because I refused to say "Yes, Smoggy, I will obey you."

I'm a big girl and I was going to continue playing WoW with, or without the Asylumites as my guild tag. If I had to assume the position to the guild leader, it's not the right guild for me anyway. I believe I used very similar words in our conversation. Gosh, I am self absorbed! The matter was concluded when you booted me from the guild, as far as I was concerned.

Nice to see you've moved on too.

Guild tabards destroy guilds.

Or could it be schizophrenic power hungry guild leaders do that?

I can never decide.

I would really like to raise a practical question at this time to all of you?

Does anyone want to Cyborz?

If so please send a whisper to Bodiceripper, I would love to role play some hawt cyborz with all of you guildies.

Also Gold PLz.

If no Cyborz, then can we do a Gnomeregan run?

It's like one of those mexican ponchos with a picture on the front and back that says you are in a super cool guild, so people will remember it an have a sufficient amount of fear struck in them during PvP battles.

We needed it 'cuz the big f'ucking sign above our heads that says the guild name weren't obvious enough.

We started a World of Warcraft guild. Made Smoggy the leader because people were still haunted by FOS, figured the guy was mild as room temperature tapioca. Life was good, the guild boomed.

What we ended up learning along the way is that Smoggy is actually a control freak with severe issues with women/power. There was a schism in the guild. It came down to every single person in the guild leaving Smoggy by his lonesome and forming a new 'smoggy free' guild.

In the end Smoggy got more than a little creepy/insane. Odd stuff to say the least. I like the guy, really did but after this experience I have come to realize he is crazier than a **** house *****.

Here is some light reading for you

I knew the whole thing about the guild being formed...even passingly thought about giving it a go myself. (Glad I didn't now...) I picked up bits and pieces.

Never had a problem with Smoggy myself. He came to the call of "FoS better than SoC" back in the day, so all in all he still warrants a pair of pleated knickers and free beer on tuesday in my book. Sorry to hear the guild collapsed.

So a guild tabbard is like a special guild t-shirt? How odd. I mean, do you get to design it? What does it look like? I mean if it was pink and frilly I would have refused to wear it as well.

The whole guild tabbard thing has me fascinated. Please explain further.

You have I beleive 3 options to design the tabard. Main body color, the lining (design and color), and the infamous icon. Really simple stuff.

Our original tabard from "Asylumites" was blue with a dwarf as it's icon.

The first rule about the tabard is that we don't talk about the tabard.

It's nothing out of this world. It's simply there so that when you do a guild event, people see a group of "simularly dressed" individuals running around together. That's all it really represents.

Okay, done skimming, got into the Smoggy post. Why the blue text? Made me have to highlight it and it felt like I was reading spoilers. Unfortunately, none of the info shared was anything new, mostly just more of the same egotistical ramblings and blame-gaming. Old hat, to say the least. I am however happy to see Smoggy back to his old hijinks, I can only hope this produces more stuff like:

Smoggy, guild founder of Asylumites wrote:
I realize now with the personality, maturity, and mental capacity mix of the guild members, this would prove impossible. But that's ok.

That simply can't be how one spells hijinks.

Anyway, I did purchase 60 days of playtime last friday, and will be on more often(which is more often than never) now that I've fallen into a new work situation, but only if someone changes that god awful tabard design.

Consider it a team jersey. Smoggy had chosen a Garden Gnome on a blue background with gold lines. It is somewhat hidden by my beard in this screenshot. Or the new one here.

Here is a tabard builder

Hey, I just was responding to Bhodi's little summation. It felt good to vent. I know it's pointless to expect Bhodi to step up and own up to his lies, backstabbing, etc.

I owned up to my mistakes and apologized for them. Some of you choose to ignore that or are incapable of seeing that. Oh well. Smiley: rolleyes

I can assure everyone that I will never, ever accept the position of guild leader in any mmorpg. It's a thankless and time-consuming role.

BT, you're nitpicking, but that comes with the territory. I put my comments in blue to differentiate between Bhodi's comments and mine. As to the quote you attributed me to, yes, that was in reference to the fact that I doubt that the guild as it was would ever have made it to end-game raiding. I still believe that. Oh, if when you say hijinks you mean the truth, then you are spot on. Smiley: tongue

But it's all moot now. The truth doesn't matter in here.

Happily for everyone, I'm finally done with this topic and with WoW.

Feel free to drop in on me in EQ2 on Antonia Bayle server to tell me I suck or whatever. My mains are Smoggy, Snorre or Wonk.

So...anyone up for Vanguard when it comes out? Smiley: tongue

Smoggy the Mad Tyrant has left the building...
